Listen....GO!!!!! I was 35, had 200k€, not much, not little also. Worked 15years as an aviation engineer. Lived quite good, for a.john.doe. bmw, duplex.... Until Sabena got closed,.and technics followed. By PLAIN luck, a buddy at.gym told about it. And even I didn't like traveling, I gave it a shot. I went 3.weeks. in 2011. Pattaya..... Vacation like, but just a ticket. I wanted to know sure if it would be a right choice. To live! It was clear quite soon. Live, 2.fundamental.needs..... are, health and economic stable, not worrysome. I returned, cancelled all in Belgium, and go live as.an expat. Nothing 100% sure. Best to go without attachements!!!!! It gets bored sometimes, and start thinking .... 1 huge lesson....KEEP MONEY IN YOUR POCKET!! THE freedom,.is like nowhere else. All the good things are free. Compare your life wherever you life, with there. You'll find many things that bother you! I visited my parents back home every 18months. 3.time in 2015, sis found her best bf ever, at 40. He introduced fysical fighting at parents home! I was like a stranger.....WTF happened?! I was on the other side of the planet?! And decided to not return, e:enthougj I was settled there. Renting cheap, living cheap charlie... Gets boring.....kinda toooo easy. Yes,.stupid kinda. Thailand is amazing!!!! Worst mistake OF MY LIFE!!! Is to stay 'temporarely' to fix with family. I'm still in Belgium..... 5years living free..... Now 8years.later in Europe, costed me 100k€ or more. I daytrade. And even parents and lovely sis..... Kicked me out.!!! I payed my bills and all. I had this tiny room, bothering nobody. Go if you can live from your savings, with even a small intrest. Daytrade or online if.you can. Life.is.cheap. You'll regret it!!! Life in the west, is horrible!!!! They show us china, with face tracing..... It's allready same here. Foreigners are better treated!!! In Thailand, you are king. Cheap charlie.... Oké , not the best BUT NEVER FORGET...... life in Europe or usa. Sorry for bad writing. My 2 cents.... I destroyed life by returning!!! Just speaking....THAILAND,... now people are stressed, struggling, and don't like ALOT, hearing you say this. Even if life is a social democracy here. It's a joke!!!! The more you try.... The more bills. Criminals have rights. Working.people.are.retarded.slaves!!!! It's a 1.exception. if you can financially, GRAB IT! Just don't be naïeve. Even at home. I was a nerd. And made a carrier, untill company closed. Never had 1 day social help or money! But they don't see that. They don't respect you for helping yourself living cheap in Thailand. Because THEY CANT BELIEVE!!! I'M just giving good advice. Can BS me....oké. Whatever. I'm trying to quickly give a good advice. I guess this video talks same. Go!!!! GO NOW !!!! West is going down financially. You don't attach! Make many buddies. You'll have many social life. Also in solitude without any worries..... Keep busy daytrading or WHATEVER. Little extra is alot. Go Go Go!!! 1

Hello Chris, I've just found your videos and like the information that you provide. But I do have a good question for you. What, how and where can I go to have some of my things that I want to bring with me, to be shipped to Thailand and to receive it all after it arrives there. What advice would you be able to give me of what company would be the best, and budget friendly?

I don't live in Thailand yet, however, I took about 3 solid years to learn the language because I know I'll be living there within a few years. Personally, I think it's awesome to know the language. By no means am I fluent, but I can say pretty much anything in broken Thai. The times I have visited Thailand, armed with a decent grasp of the language, I was astounded by how willing the Thai people are to show you their culture.

What you described about Thailands safety is very true. Never felt unsafe and even sent my sister as a solo traveller to thailand. She loved it and felt safe all the time. I can't say the same thing about California and many parts of Europe. To be honest.. I never felt so unsafe like in certain neighbourhoods in the USA.

Health Care in Thailand is world class. I ran into Chris when he was out for a walk in October this year. I had flown to Thailand specifically for surgery on my wrist. Thanks for sharing brother... My uncle here in AU owns an apartment in Pattaya.. he can afford a visa but instead he chooses each year to just buy several flights (6 or so) here and back when they are on special. He has property and business here he looks after so it suits him to do the transit anyway and by constantly leaving, he can avoid the visa $. He has a remote camera setup in his house and literally has a conversation when his cleaner goes inside and keeps his place fresh. This is what i call best of both worlds, having a home in AU and also Thai......

Great video Chris! We live in Krabi Province in basically the jungle, beautiful greenery and mountainous vibes with the endless palm tree land along the river. When I’m in Bangkok, we spend more, mostly on trains and taxis, but over here in the countryside, cost of living is cut in half due to eating from the garden and everyone sharing in the community, so food is the least of our worries. We even started a little youtube channel about this beautiful side of the country

Hi. My Thai wife and I will be in Krabi January 2024. We are looking for 10+ rai of rubber farm to build a house. Do you have any tips to find a great rural area?

Hello! I am currently a U.S. Marine pending a medical discharge. I plan on moving to Thailand once this is finalized. I want to live near the water but away from the tourist/party areas. Would you say Krabi would fit this? I have a friend who took Muay Thai lessons there for over 6mo and loved it. Any tips would be great thank you.

@@Kallosdalus Krabi is exactly that! We just made a video about it, and I met only one guy in the entire town, but he has a 20 year long friendship with a local here, so not really a tourist in my opinion, more like a semi local. But it’s off the beaten path, breathtaking in it’s beauty out here.

@@buddhadug 10 rai is quite big, but I’m sure you can find it? You’ll have to be very thorough though, get an awesome agent you trust and I’m sure you and your wife plan to sail into the future together, so she would be the owner of the land. I however can’t even think how 10 rai would be easy to come by, we have 7 rai and her family accumulated it over multiple generations. What I CAN tell you in my experience with their past farm and our friends’ latest harvest, is that kiang farming is a very tedious devotion. You’ll need really good and loyal workers who are willing to work from 11pm until around 6 or 7AM every day, and when it’s rainy season, the water in the rubber cups can really hurt the bottom line. Maybe look for a rai and just get started to feel how you like it? I think with feet on the ground you will get all the answers you need. Hope that helps
