She will come back to Nick. Story shows how people like Brooke are afraid and fight to find who they love and who they not. Psychic and Nick helped her a lot to understand the true love. She will finish her marriage. She says that we meant to be together to Nick, she says that in reality she doesn't love her husband but their good moments in the past and even though she says that she will fight for her marriage, she knows that cheating and his behavior will never change. It's not easy to change totally your life, especially for a woman like Brooke, who is afraid of making huge steps in her life. I think that Nick did the best thing for her to let her go back, so as to take her time and understand in reality the difference when she is with her husband and when she is with Nick.

People are criticizing the ending of this movie BECAUSE they don't understand it. First off, she was always going to go back. It's where her home is. You don't know what happened when she got back because the movie ended before that point. This movie leaves it on a cliffhanger FOR A REASON. YOU get to IMAGINE the ending (which isn't always a bad thing). His number was on the back of that piece of paper she was looking at on the bus. It is very likely that she went back home, fought with her husband, got a divorce, and her and Nick got together and lived happily ever after. You don't know that she went back to the cheating piece of shit husband and stayed with him. But she was always going to go home! She had to. It's her home! She can't just stay in New York when all her shit is in Boston!

I get your point but this movie isn't about that. This isn't a love story. It's a story about love. It explores the meaning of love, compromise, closure and above all, the uncertainty in life. They were both at rock bottom, but they showed each other they are worthy of love and are loved even if they didn't love themselves or their situational. He thanked her for showing him that they can love more than one person in this life, which for Nick was only Hannah before that night. Essentially he is able to move on and not be focused on Hannah anymore, and do what's best for him. It showed that there is someone out there for everyone and a there are those that will impact your life greatly but that doesn't mean you are theirs and they are yours. "Is it possible to find someone so perfect for you when you're already committed to someone else" but then theres the response "if you're committed to someone you don't give yourself the option to find perfection in someone else". I think he did the right thing by letting her go.

Perfect end! It collects the meaning of the whole movie in one last scene: All good, deep and emotional things doesn't only have to mean chliche romantic love relationships. It can also mean something genuine and profounding which you can take with you and which helps you in your life to grow and move on. Especially, when it is something for such a limited time. This is something for real life and which you can take with you as a lesson.

I hate how depressing romance movies have gotten.... Why the heck would you go back to a husband that cheated on you twice. It's not a "mistake" at that point. When he does it again, she'll leave and by then this wonderful man will have moved on.
@gunnarpool72103 жыл бұрын
It’s the reality of love. It’s realistic. Sure she could go with nick and be happy but she already has a life built up with her husband and it’s up to her to make that decision. She can’t just make it in one night. Because of this. The effect of love is intensified and it shows how much more real it is compared to old “love stories” in the past. It’s not a love story, It’s a story about love. Sure they could run off together and be happy. But this love is meant to be temporary because the whole movie takes place in one night. Unless she chooses to go back to him.
@arrow10423 жыл бұрын
It's because she just actually tried to escape her situation with her husband..she didn't talk it out with him and just left him a note without anything..so she said by the end that she was willing to go back if there's something she could do to fix it at least give it a try and face it..one last chance..i believe thats the right way. Then she could only come to nick once there is proper closure with her husband.

I recently had a love story that reminded me of this movie: I met a girl while traveling, and her boyfriend had just broken up with her on the phone from her hometown. We got along so well, and spend 2 whole days together without any involvement, because she expected to go back to her boyfriend and felt it would be like cheating. On her last day before going back to her hometown, we were almost like a couple, hugging and holding hands, and talking as if we knew each other for years. Our goodbye were so emotional, her eyes showing she had fallen in love with me, while she kept saying she couldn’t do this. The classic “right person, wrong time”!

When you understand your breath is the love of your live , if you listen to it when you are asleep, you can almost hear the whispers telling you "i love you " in every breath you take". Without the breath, live is not available for you. So do this, keep your mind noiseless and listen to it for once, i beg you to do so , so you will not be disappointed when the time is not kind and breath is not given when you try to take it more . Do this one thing everyday and you shall find true eternal love. Love on the physical always has an end. Love beyond is eternal. . Only trust your experience not books,people,gods,heaven or hell. Escape the illusion and you shall see your love.My English is bad but i hope someone would take a moment to say thank you and love their breath.
