@@efilnikufesina7532 At $140 new on amazon it is a Fantastic headphone, I bought this as well as a Sundara and a 6XX. I tested them with my Son and we loved the HD560S for it ability to give a true neutral sound with great instrument separation. But my Son decided ton the 6XX and I wanted the Sundaras. I decided on the Sundaras because they did every thing the HD560S but had better a fuller bass and also I was able to get a great deal on them about below $250, but I would say they are very close. I used to have only Sennheiser products, but few years ago due to economical situation I wanted to get just 1 decent performing and decent priced headphone for gaming and music. So I went from HD650 (also sold the Topping DX3-Pro I had) to AKG K702 and got the E10K. From time to time I feel like getting back to the headphone game and get more pairs, get back to Sennheiser, but then I watch these videos and think like nah I'm good. To me, as I am not a basshead, the K702 is perfect all-rounder. I use Oratory's Harman EQ with a bit of tuning to my preference. Huge soundstage is perfect for FPS-games (also I use a bit different EQ for games to hear steps better etc.) and especially acoustic music and vocals sound really nice. In EU the K702 is 130-140€ and the E10K is like 60-70€, so you get a decent setup sub 200€. Also thanks for your videos bro :)!

You're welcome! Yeah i use the K702 for gaming and sound whore foot steps quite a bit ;) I'm pretty much always prepared for the enemy but sometimes it doesn't matter if your connection fails you. When I watch the kill cam it doesn't match what happened at all xD So it shows me basically standing there. A wise man once said Multiplayer (esp. Call of Duty) is all connection and it's very true.

The HD600 has, like most Sennheiser the "Sennheiser veil". So anyone used to that would maybe react to a non-typical increase in treble in the upper range a bit. As long as it isn't shrill, sibilant and painful I see it as a good thing. Because it adds to clarity and range IMO. I have many Sennheiser headphones and at times I do wish they have a little bit more upper.
@durrantmiller8810 Жыл бұрын
For the 650s I would agree with that but not so much the 600s. If you look at measurements of the 600 they have some of the best treble measurements of any headphone when compared to the Harman curve. I know older 650s (6xx included) were definitely veiled thoiugh I've heard that newer itterations are better though. The 560s when compared to the harman curve defintely has some raised treble and upper mids. I'm not saying that that is bad you may just prefer more treble than the average person or your ears just aren't as senstive to treble, that's fine. I just think it's a reach to call the HD 600s veiled

I bought the 560s a month ago , I was very exited to hear them ,I did a little burn in and started using them .At first I liked them a lot ,the bass is fast and detailed and goes deep the mids are very neutral and detailed .The problem with me began with the tremble ,to me it sounds too bright ,maybe its because of the unit I have or its what Andrew from the headphone show said about the clamping force. It makes everything sound thin and at the same time fatiguing .I tried eq them bassed on the THS measurements ,now I am not an eq expert I only tried to lower some db around 3k to 6k and they immediately sounded more natural to me ,the timber was much much better and the headphone felt that it had more body .After AB the eq on and off I thing that the headphone's peaky treble holds it back , again that is how it sounded to my unit and to my head with the clamping force

What's also interesting is that the 560S does tend to expose flaws in other headphones, but I would agree with you to an extent. I personally find the clamping force perfect, but there def is something going on in the treble that's not 100% ideal I guess is the best way I can put it. I really liked what they did with the bass shelf as it's not too much, and the mids to me are right, but yeah, the high end can sound kind of like.. overly glassy? Or something. To me, it's more subtle and def not as bright as other cans. It's also still a mostly 500 sounding headphone but I like the improvements they made. I owned a 558 and sold it, and basically could never see myself with a headphone from this line long term would be the main takeaway.

With 560s the hype is so crazy to the point I almost bought one already having owned HD650, HD598, HD598CS and now HD599. This review made me second guessing so hopefully I'll stick to my EQed HD599, which has super energetic lively sound suitable for almost any genre. After listening to many HD5 series and reading some reviews I am confident most of the lineup is basically same sh*t with slight differences in tuning that can be easily fixed and adjusted to preference. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like 560s would not bring anything new to the table compared to 599, which surely has some 250hz bump resulting in boominess, but like I said easy to fix with EQ. Sennheiser HD560s has more neutrualish tunning out of the box and that's it basically. Not worth spending extra coin over 599 or even 579 often times at 80-100$ promo sales.

Had to return the 6xx, the clamp and way they sat on my head really hurt my TMJ causing some ringing in my ears even after making them looser. I had an X2 for several years and still have a pc38x for the last year so a 560s would feel the same comfort wise which is good but after learning of the 702 I ordered that instead. Way I see it is it should be as comfortable as my X2s were but more resolving due to not being bass heavy. I'll likely end up using the 702s for awhile before splurging for something endgame like the 800s.

@@HomeStudioBasics Actually got X2HRs, the pads are way nicer than my original X2s they definitely changed them to some sort of memory foam type deal. After a few minutes on the head they disappear and are extremely comfortable. Couldn't say that for any other headphone I've tried so far. I'm quite content with the sound too, they really are an insane deal in audio. I did try the 560S, a bit too shouty and harsh for me. I think the most important thing in a headphone is definitely comfort first, sound second. I prefer a warmer sound and can appreciate a dose of bass which the X2s fulfill for me.

Since I am a noob, I could not fully understand everything, but things still made quite a bit of sense. In my country, the 560S, ATG702 and ATG712 Pro are all almost the same price. Which one would you recommend for Gaming (mostly adventure games and not FPS) and Movies (Atmos etc.) mostly (say 75%), and only a little bit of music (25%)

S for Sandwich... You mean an meatloaf sandwich right? I'm considering this and pairing them with a G6. Although not immediately, but I've been eying the G6 for a while. But for now, and my budget, and what I already own to pair it to. The HD560s is winning among all the headphones I've been looking at. And after over 100 reviews. 6XX was also an option. And the HD 58X a consideration if found for dirt cheap. But as a brand new shiny new pair of cans. the 560 is winning.
@HomeStudioBasics7 ай бұрын
Yes, meatloaf sammy. Yeah those are all good. 560S is almost perfectly tuned but may sound dull to you after some months. Still love the 6XX. 58X is a decent headphone but not as good as the others. To me it's like a photo with too much contrast if that makes sense. A bit artificial but still a decent buy. 6XX is probably the best value.

@@HomeStudioBasics I use to listen with my HD600 with an excellent budget dongle the EPZ TP50 in 4.4mm balance cable. If you have a chance check that dongle and give us feedback. And as I do not want my dac amp to take space to the desk or any other place that I may sit up and relax listening my music, I look for portable solution, but I am afraid if they can drive my cans (HD600,K701). And I am not an IEM guy as I do not like the feel of in-ears to my ears! So I need to connect my TP50 to my old external amplifier that is a Heed CanAmp that drives very well my K701. I do not want something so big to come around, so I was looking for a headphone with 4.4mm connection as an alternative open pack with big soundstage. I fin only Sundara to be an option but I do not think that has such a big soundstage as K701. So I still look forward and I see the new headphone of Drop+Brell OAE1. Which looks very promising with very good price. Moreover my Go Link that I do not use so much as I am a bit skeptic if keep it or not

Sorry about the late comment. I'm a complete noob when it comes to sound so I wanted to understand something. I just upgraded from the Hyperx alpha (been using for years) to 560s. All the music sounds generally better, yet there is still this feeling of a cover I need to remove when compared to the Alpha, it is especially apparent in speech. Is this normal ? It is the same sort of feeling when you try a treble boost preset then remove it, everything suddenly sounds more blocked. Do I just need to get used to it?

Hey Stu, does HD560s have noticeable amount more bass than K702? And which one is brighter?
@HomeStudioBasics3 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Yeah there's def a shelf there and it's more present than 702 for sure. 702's sub-bass rolls off more. Interesting question about the brightness I'd probably say 702 is a bit brighter but it's very close actually. You'll notice the 702 will sound crisper I think if that helps. The 560S' treble "peak" (if you can even call it that since I don't personally believe it's a bright headphone) can manifest when you're swapping headphones but if you're listening to it on its own the treble sounds just about perfect (maybe a tiny amount of peaky). 702 is similar in that I never find the treble peaky or sibilant.

Hey man!! how are you doing? As we discussed, I ended up buying these headphones with the fiio k3 and its a pretty good combo but it still doesn't get loud enough for me in some songs, moreover talking about the build, I found the cushions to be really hard and sometimes they do feel a bit cheap compared to my sony noise canceling headphones, I don't mind the long cable but didn't get the big deal about openback as I'm not able to tell much difference against closedback though they are more airy and in some songs I do get the crazy "is someone in my room" vibes but in general I don't notice much but overall I do really love them as they are really clear and they have so much more range than my sony's although are a bit harsh to listen to sometimes, the area I was really disappointed in was gaming as while playing warzone sometimes multiple footsteps do merge together too much and sounds like they're coming from everywhere, I don't know if this game just has that bad of a sound effects but just something I noticed as gaming was a big priority, I hoped a little more separation or maybe I'm just too much of a dummy to understand the crazy upgrade I apparently got😅. But anyways, loved the review and keep doing what you're doing man, goodluck!!

Would you recommend these for mixing rap vocals at home? to get a neutral mix across all platforms?
