Good points. I have a query, there is a used Nikon D3200 at $230 with kit lens and a Canon 550D/T2i with kit lens for $270. Which one is the best buy, especially for video recording and portrait shooting?

That's a tough one... Both are great cameras and I'm actually going to be using a 550D/T2i for this series. If you have the option to try them both out, you should see which feels and handles better for you.

CamCrunch - Photography For Beginners I'm more tempted to get the D3200 for the value and also i've watched comparison between this camera and I think the T3i or T4i and in some aspects the D3200 is better (e.g continuous autofocus which is useful for video). But i also like the colors and dynamic range that the Canon produces... Well tough decision as you said
