My first tournament win: Win by holding objective and killing my opponents dwarf king. I am declared the winner by the judge/ owner of the shop. My opponent “technically I won that, I did pretty well” I followed up by reaching my hand out and saying “I’m okay with a draw, tie game well played.” My opponent then said “ok but I really won though.” I them said “listen, I won the game on both objectives that and you have no models left on the table, I’m giving you a draw that’s being generous” his response “ehhhhh let’s just say I won” I then withdrew my hand and then said “screw you”

Your own hubris comes through in your own retelling of things. Does it matter that the judge is a store owner? Why did you feel that you were in a place of authority to make it a draw? Because the judge said you won? Did the judge only make a legit ruling because he is also a store owner? It sounds like you had a really bad attitude about winning, and you know you did not win ethically. I hate wysiwyg. I play tau and every unit (used to be) very modular, especially the crisis suits. So they have very many weapon options and the only way to get a different loadout is to buy, build, and paint a new unit. And what about magnets? are they allowed? If they are i could change my whole army depending on who im fighting, but crisis suits are hard to magnetize. There is nothing good about wysiwyg other than MAYBE immersion or having a visually realistic game. But it ruins the experience for many players, its basically impossible to play without buying a new army for each different style of tournament, and some new players encounter it or hear about it, think thats how you HAVE to play it and either never play or dont enjoy building models as they way they want and instead build them the way that they think would play the best. Wysiwyg sucks. Change my mind.
