We are pretty bad for this at my work. We are dealing with a fire damaged trailer and our plan was just sand blast the frame and change some of the suspension components. I go and have a quick look at it after we have started the dismantling process and the running gear frame is rotten and cracking apart everywhere. the fire was best thing that could have happened to the trailer. So now we are left with a dismantled trailer that needs way more work then originally quoted. It was written off by insurance but the customer can't find a new peroxide trailer right away. so he is paying out of pocket to fix but since we didn't do a proper pre evaluation the bill and time frame are going to be way higher. So the customer will be pissed and we won't make much on the unit. So the job is now a loss for potential profits and our image. This isn't the first time we have done this and doubtfully the last.
