i’m only 16 years old so i’m not from that time period at all, but it’s really interesting to me looking at people who were around then. I love your videos so much! Before I watched u guys I would rarely draw or write and I was always on my phone but after watching your videos it made me realise there is more to life than my phone and now I draw everyday, write in my journal and write other stuff such as poems, and it’s thanks to your videos!

Don't stop though. I had so many hobbies and I kind of just ditched it all for drugs and partying, now I want to get back into drums, painting, writing etc but it was put on the backburner for a long time.

I came thru your channel when I searched David Hoffman type channels. All I am saying is that what you did 30 years ago is helping you grow here now. This makes you one of the only channels that started producing for KZbin 30 years ago. The source of the purpose was created then, not just becasue you have an audience now. Just found this channel yesterday myself, out of nowhere. I think I was watching more Metallica videos and YT recommended the 'metal kid goes to record store in 1989' or something. It really is a great channel from the videos I've seen so far. Definitely takes me back, these kids could have been my friends back in the day.

This is such a wonderful, grounding ethnography. I wish I had lifelong relationships and stability like this. We had In-TRA-Net in 1991 with online services like Prodigy, Compuserve and AOL . . . but it felt amazing to just get the weather or a few national news articles over dialup.

Growing up poor, I only had a handful of 80's and 90's VHS movies that I would rewatch 1000 times up until 2009 when I finally got cable, even though I was born in 97 it really feels like I grew up in the 80's and 90's too. It's kind of weird to feel homesick and nostalgic for a time I didn't even exist in yet 😅 Anyways, thank you for your awesome videos. It's cool you guys got to capture the magic of just being a kid having fun with your friends. Wish you guys the best and can't wait until the next video 😁

I was only 4 yrs old then but I could feel the energy from that room as if I was there. There was a even a distinctive smell that things had back then, idk how to explain it. But I remember when you guys barely had maybe a few thousand views a little over a year ago and your channel has grown quite a lot! Congrats. Keep them coming please

It's amazing how you guys, at 13, are basically talking about KZbin before it existed! It's taken all these years to get there. I would say there's 2 major reasons why people like me watch. One is that you guys are very likable. That's always key no matter what the content is. The second is that your long-standing friendship is an inspiration. You guys have one of life greatest gifts! I actually have a broken down Toshiba that I keep with all my childhood recordings and MySpace sh because I know all the files are on there and if the cops can get it out I can pay some nerd to sort it out for me one day. I am so lucky everything wasn't recorded though, I was controversial+ and got into enough fist fights as it is.

I love these videos so much. Im only 28 but sadly ive lost alot of childhood friends to overdoses and such and when I watch these videos it brings me back to when my friends were still here. This is definitely one of my favorite channels. Not only do ya'll have that nostalgia thing going from back in the day, (and oh, what a wondrous drug nostalgia is, indeed), but you have different things going on as well, (Aging Rock Bands, etc). There's a pretty good bit of high quality content coming out of this channel these days.

My best friend and I back in the early 2000s (pre-KZbin) used to film awful parody versions of movies on her family camcorder and when we were done we’d make her parents watch it. 😂💀 That was our big audience!! But it felt so important to us as kids, being able to connect it to the TV and show two people what we worked on was exciting lol. Anyway, it’s amazing that your teen selves now have the platform they wanted. It’s so cool that you can finally share all the videos you created! Love it.

I remember when public access tv was popular , back then it was amazing to see. Amazing that anyone could produce stuff..the youtube of the late 80's and some 90's. From guys dancing in a Carmen Miranda get up with fruit on his head to the American Athiests -Madelyn Murray OHair to the Zendik Farm people. It was fun. I'm glad people are seeing your videos now.

I like that Big Boy statue in the background of your old video. Back then there were numerous franchises nationwide, from Bob's, Shoney's, Frisch's, Marc's, Elby's and Elias. Now sadly most have disappeared except for select locations in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and California.

Man where is the time go like I was 10 years old in 1990 I'm 38 now and you guys are in your early forties and I think it's like so phenomenal this channel. One thing I regret was not being able to film my childhood because we couldn't afford a camcorder but I have a fondness for channels that showcase the time period of my childhood and you guys absolutely just make all those nostalgic feelings come in and I can't thank you guys enough. And it's so awesome that you two are still friends today that shit is rare. My childhood friends I lost touch with years ago. What's it like being in your forties though compared to your teens? I know for me I personally don't like aging but I can't stop it.

Many Greetings from Germany. I watch and watched your (actual) videos by accident, here on YT. Well the switch-backs to the 80-s and 90-s are my timeride. I am a bit older than you and made my own experiences back then. We had MTV-Europe and very few Privat-Music-channels etc. We listened to music via CD or records The Metal-Heads made there own thing. But than, well than , 1992 WACKEN OPEN AIR rised. I was Witness of the first und 3-rd WOA. But please do not asked me about the Headliners etc. I was constantly out of order than. Alcohol for sure. But i do not regret anything. Wir waren jung, wir waren wild und es war die Zeit für was neues. Rock'n'Roll.

We had our own talk show my sister and friends would do, it ran from the late 80s to the late 90s, haha.
