Good post. I've had this lock installed the week it was released. Like you, I feel the fingerprint works most of the time, except when your hand is wet then you probably need to enter the code instead. Tip - you can set up fingerprints on both right and left hands because at times, I found myself having to switch carried items to the other hand to free up the one that's programmed for fingerprinting. With both hands now configured, no more need to do that. Btw, this lock replaced my 5yr old Schlage Connect deadbolt with Wi-Fi which I never had to unlock remotely. My girls love the fingerprint feature on this new lock much better. I'm so pleased with this purchase that I got my relatives and friends getting the lock as well lol

The only thing i'm worried about is if the lock electrical ever fails. What would you do? meaning, battery dies and USB backup doesn't work.

@@Mistawho206 I would break the window. Lol. I actually have the old Schlage smart lock that I moved to the back for entry. There's also the garage doors I can open using my phone, keypad or remote. I haven't had a smart lock failed on me in 7 years. Just replace the batteries when it tells you to.

Installed this last week and like it alot except (there's always one of these) I would like to be able to have it lock at a certain time, like bedtime. I guess that's not possible since it is not connected it probably doesn't know the time. I guess I will try auto-lock but this is a door going into my garage and I am in and out many, many times a day. Kind of a pain in the ass to keep unlocking it. Now that I think about it, it must know time since there is a setting to disable auto-lock during certain times.

Any idea what I did wrong, when I try to lock it unlocks and then I click the unlock and it locks so the buttons are functioning opposite

There is an emergency charge port on the bottom. You will also get notified in the app that it’s running low on batteries
