Terrific video, thank you. Also worth mentioning, Heidelberg has a wonderful Christmas market. It takes place late November through December. Also, don’t miss the chance to walk across the old bridge to view the “love stone” down by the water. Hundreds of locks have found their place on the stone.

Thought the University of Bologna was the oldest? That aside, Heidelberg is a beautiful place, and not yet ruined by the other problems now damaging Germany.

According to Wikipedia Bologna is in fact the oldest University in continuous operation. Heidelberg is the 15th oldest, and the oldest in Germany.
