You are making my heart sing with this lesson ❤❤❤ Thank you so much. I begged my parents to let me dance ballet as a child. First they told me we were too poor. Then they told me I was too fat / built like a baby elephant / wouldn’t be any good / it would be a waste of money. I was made to work from around 10. I saved my money and at 13 I paid for 6 weeks of ballet tuition myself at a school I found by myself. I bought my shoes and my leotard and tights. I was so happy. Then I went to class and my choice was go with the young kids or those my own age. I went with those my age but couldn’t keep up. I felt worthless but I kept trying because I wanted to learn. But after I would walk home after class (in winter, ice, and around two miles), my dad and sister would make fun of me so much I would just cry. After I finished my six weeks I gave up. I tried again years later as an adult, at 26? went to one adult class then lost my job and couldn’t go again. I tried again at 33 - got to the class and had a panic attack. All I could hear was the venomous words of my mother in my ear and my father mocking me. I literally ran out of the building and never went back. I realised that this is my biggest dream. It always was and still is. To learn to dance. And one day dance on a stage for an audience. Even if just one time. I refuse to believe at 35 it’s too late. It’s not. I’ve been limiting myself my whole life because of my parents poison. Not any more. As soon as I realised this, I looked on KZbin and your video came up first. Your grace reminds me of Olivia Newton John when she used to introduce the Timeless Tales videos I watched as a child. From the bottom of my heart, than you for sharing your knowledge and videos on this free platform. I am so so grateful 😢. You are helping me take first steps towards realising my dream and stepping out of a lifetime of fear conditioning. I want you to know how much this video means to me ❤

I'm quite late to this class, seeing as it was posted 2 years ago, but I just took it and I LOVED it! I love the music you choose and the musicality you encourage throughout each exercise. This is oerfect for me because I want to go slower in order to concentrate on correcting lifelong bad habits, poor training etc etc. So, thank you!

You are so beautiful and graceful. Your port de bras arms embrace so much emotion. I have never been taught swan arms and your demonstration is so moving. As a middle age woman (myself) who is now retired I still appreciate the wonder and beauty of ballet. Thank you for your simple and instructional videos!

Thank you so much! Port de bras is my favorite because it is so expressive. I’m so glad you enjoy my videos-the whole point is to connect with those feelings of beauty, awe, and wonder that ballet evokes. Learning to embody and express these feelings through ballet brings such peace & joy. This is the experience I seek to cultivate for all my students-and it sounds like this is how you are connecting to ballet. Brava!!! 👏🙏💕🩰

I love love love this class 😍😍🌺 so amazing.. I always admire your absolute gorgeous talent for teaching 😍 and your metaphors are so on point! A rose petal between the fingers.. Sunlight on your chest, the raindrop on my arm during second position are just a few of them but they help absolute beginners like me so so much 😍 have a wonderful day and lots of love from Germany 🥳🍀

Thank you so much for putting this together into one video! It's the perfect daily workout. I am not the most graceful and have to practice in my bathroom bc everywhere else is carpeted, but it's nevertheless so enjoyable. I'm very excited and have to share: my gran plies are now twice as low as when I first started a couple months ago, when they were basically the same as the half plies 😅 At 51, that's no small feat, so thank you thank you for the amazing content and for being such an inspiring teacher!

Would like to start this as looking for a new challenge and something different but quite overwhelmed with all the moves/information in ballet. Also a little OCD so i like to make sure i do everything correctly. I'm male and come from a soccer/running/cycling background so would this be suitable for me to start?
@everydayballet3 ай бұрын
Hi! So glad you are interested in ballet! Given what you have written, you will want to practice with a gentle, patient approach. THIS is just as challenging as the technique itself! Because in ballet it’s not about the quantity; it’s ALWAYS about the quality! There’s no way to rush or be perfect, so there’s a lot of mental training that happens-showing up, doing your best, AND feeling your joy! If your OCD kicks in, step back, take some deep breaths, and set it down for the day. Ballet should empower you, if you can give yourself the gift of nonjudgmental time and space to learn. Hope this helps! 🙏✨🩰

Hi good day to you. I'd like enquiry your classic class, there will be how many classes in total to be completed ballet training. Is this classic class trainning under time schedule that you set or just you will send me videos? I am from Malaysia, can I know you are base on which country. I learnt ballet when I was 14years and was only joined in a year adult ballet class. I always would like to returning to ballet and wanna to know it takes how many years under training classes and qualify to apply a test become a ballet teacher?

Hi! Thanks for your questions. My Ballerina Body CLASSIC membership is for those seeking ballet training for themselves to enjoy. It is not a teacher training program, so there are no tests, etc. Instead, it is a program that will teach you all the basics with a Basic Training program. After you feel confident with the basics, there are many different classes to choose from! You can decide to advance your training or just enjoy the basic ballet classes. It's a program that lets you decide. The CLASSIC membership has over 160 videos with more each month. It goes from Absolute Beginner classes to Intermediate+ and Pointe Prep. I hope you will give it a try! (Here's the link: www.everydayballet.com/become-a-member/ )Sending my warmest well wishes to you as reconnect with your ballet training! :-D Kind regards, Tiekka
