@@itssophsoph@juststeph6940 I just bought faiths curriculum for children and it’s sooooo good In depth for th older kids and simple simple simple for the littles and everything in-between. I have a hunch that much of the content in that curriculum and video has culminated from Faiths life in church with kiddos and her own person journey as a mum…. It just oozes with that. My nephew (7) is not being raised in a Christian home but he def has had some lived experience of that here in my home when he sleeps over (summer holidays!!!) and he is like a sponge soaking it in, and if I am not “preaching” (ie: it’s more like praying briefly before eating) and he’s got questions. And, he has insight…. That simple faith of a child!!! And so I bought faiths new curriculum and within minutes we were both memorizing and laughing and 3 months later, back at home, he STILL knows the memory work and they “why” and “how so” behind it. Sooooooo I think this may help you too !

I found your channel about a year ago and I really have to thank you for your passion and enthusiasm. Not long after I found you I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I’ve had 3 surgeries, radiation, and on 9/18/24 I finished 6 months of chemotherapy. When my doctor told me I had cancer I told him it was ok…I’m covered in prayer and I will be either healed or completely healed. Your energy helped me immerse myself in Gods word and see that my diagnosis saved my life. People say that my positivity has been inspirational and we have had several people start coming to church with us. I’m not inspiring in my eyes, I’m a vessel. You showed up when I needed your energy and from your example I projected Gods love through my Faith and actions. You have changed more lives than you will ever know and you kept me company through the most confusing time of my life. In closing a little prayer…Thank you Father God for the work you have instilled in Faith. Please Lord continue to work through her and bring others to her channel so they can feel your presence. Thank you Lord for holding me through my journey and for having me find your Spirit through Faith. In Jesus name I pray…Amen.

I want to read the Bible for the first time. I was raised without any religious upbringing, nor did I ever learn about Jesus or go to church growing up so I don’t have any background information. It’s definitely overwhelming and I feel like I’m going to do it wrong somehow. I am waiting for my Bible to come in the mail so I can start. ❤

Noel, suggestion: find a reading partner that you can connect with everyday and read the Bible aloud over the phone taking turns. I did this with my "other religion" friend for 7 years and she received Christ as her Savior, finally..... Miraculous things began to happen starting with her three teenage children receiving Christ, on and on. We had been friends on social media only. Then I traveled to her state and we met face to face at her Baptismal. Glory to God! Plus you have an accountability, motivational buddy. AMEN, D

Thank you for not dismissing the catholic way of faith and the catholic bible. A lot of us growing in Catholicism do tend to be "cradle" Catholics and not strong in the word, but I really want to be and I am trying. Christians are really good in this aspect but sometimes some dismiss Catholics (+ viewpoint) altogether when I am trying to understand something that I don't, which I don't blame them for. There isn't as many catholic bible study guides like our Christian brothers and sisters so it can be hard sometimes to really grasp the full bible when trying to study. These are really good tips, I do some of these already but I like the confirmation I am in the right direction and will adjust to the tips you mentioned that I was not doing before. Off google alone, I look up almost EVERYTHING, even words I do know. I look up the secular and biblical definitions of the words. I definitely want a bible dictionary. You are SO RIGHT! It definitely takes up a lot of time. I often amaze myself, that that whenever I am starting a new chapter I can fill up an entire page breaking down one (tiny) verse of that chapter. I will also look on my own when I have a free moment (and money) to see if there is a bible dictionary that will work with my bible, if not then it is what it is. But I was curious if you know or can recommend a dictionary that works with a catholic bible/the 72 books?

Grateful that your video showed up when I searched Bible Study Tips for Beginners. I’m a beginner. Just got my Bible yesterday. I’m from the 🇵🇭 and I hope the translation I picked is ok for those like me whose english is their 2nd language. It’s the last NLT translation on the bookshelf. I also got The Bible Outline by Dr. Harold L. Willmington as one of my tool. I find it very helpful. Now upon watching your video, I’d definitely head out & find a Bible Dictionary. It makes so much sense to get one because I did end up googling names, places, pictures, word meanings & pronunciations while reading last night. I’m not even sure if they are accurate so at least having a bible dictionary can help me verify & compare. I wanna thank you for doing these kinds of videos to guide people like me who are just literally starting to get to know HIM through the Bible. And so scared to be overwhelmed with the difficulty of understanding the verses. I’ve had so many attempts to read it but ended up not understanding it so I stopped. These bible study tools & your videos are so helpful specially if you are doing this journey alone or on your own. I thank God for leading me to your channel 🙏

RE: Translations. I *used to* defend the ××V translation against *all* claims for *any* other version. About a decade ago, I realized that rather than edifying any audience, it cast doubt upon the benefit of becoming a Christian. "Who would want to be a Christian if they can't even decide on what book to use?" And caused a lot of smirking and laughter. So now, when someone says, "I use only the ××V!" My reply is, "Good for you." (Some proponents are so *aggressive.*) I agree with reading different translations: sometimes, when you read only the ××V, your eyes end up skipping over words while you're making a grocery list in your mind. Shaking it up with a different translation is sometimes good. I'll stop there, or I'll end up writing *way* too much. Thank you for a beginner study tips vid. God bless.

Part 1/3 Good video. Thank you for it. Here as some of the things I wish I knew and understood earlier. (I know it's a novel. :)) The Bible is a lot of things, it's a historical book, a book of wisdom, a book that tells us how to be saved, how to live etc. But very rarely have I ever heard pastors call it a book of prophecy. Sure it has prophecy in it, but it took me a long time to realize the Bible is a prophetic book. It's the Word of GOD because what sets GOD apart from every there religion and being is that GOD claims to tell us the future in advance. I don't know the specific percentage but it's got to be 70-80%+ of Scripture is prophecy. Every time the LORD says "I will..." that is Bible prophecy. How we get to know the LORD is to see how He has always and will always fulfill His Word. What makes being a Christian hard to me, is not that the LORD is untrustworthy but trusting Him like Peter on the water trying to get to Jesus. We see the world our way, we say this can be done or this can't be done, always trying to exert some level of "control" over our lives because living by faith is hard. Our minds screams "It can't be done!' and maybe GOD won't, but it doesn't mean He can't, does that make Him any less GOD? No. There's a vast difference between "GOD can't and GOD won't. The Bible is about things the LORD has done, and things the LORD has said He will do. Do we have faith, having seen what He has done, to trust Him to do what He says He will do? For a lot of Christians they define evil a specific way, and so it's hard for them to fathom the LORD using what we call evil for good. We have come to define if we deem it good then it's the Will of GOD, f we deem it evil then it's Satan's agenda. Which exalts Satan to the same level as the LORD where at any given moment we believe they are fighting for supremacy where either GOD's Will wins or Satan's agenda does. But I digress. Letting go of your ego and will and following by faith is hard. Salvation is easy, but being a disciple is hard. Trusting Jesus to save us sinners who need a saviour is easier than offering your lives as a living sacrifice for the LORD to then tell you "go into the ministry" or "go to this country and share the Gospel" or "endure sickness or death of a loved one and still have faith". For me, studying the prophetic aspects whether they are in our past or future, has helped me in my walk. It tells me the LORD is real, that whenever I have doubt about His existence what was predicted in advance that we have seen fulfilled reassures me. When I have doubts about Him guiding me, or the path I'm on, I see the way He led people in the past to be exactly where they needed to be. Joseph, Moses, David, etc. the winding roads their lives took like the winding river Moses basket flowed until it rested in exactly the spot it needed to for his life to go where it went. To trust that where ever my life goes, it's exactly where it needs to go for whatever purpose He has planned for me. That is hard to trust in at times. But at any given moment it can be a great comfort because we are exactly where we need to be. We often say that right now we are who we are because of everything that has come before. As Christians to know that even while we were still in unbelief the LORD was leading us to this exact moment we are in, for hIs purpose and plan. There are no missteps, no mistakes, no wrong turns, we are who we are and where we are at exactly where He wants us. And I know at times I need a reminder that He is GOD and I am not. Reading and trying to understand the Bible is also like learning to drive a car. When you are first learning to drive you need to learn all the signs and rules of the road from a book and you need to learn how to actually drive in real life. Both are needed to become a good driver. Some people know the book back to front but can't drive out of the parking lot. Some drivers can drive well but don't know the rules of the road. What has helped me in understanding Scripture is life, reality. people. The better I understand people and reality the better I understand why people did what they did and why GOD did what He did. For example, many people read the 10 commandments and choose to say "I will follow these rules" but they don't know what the rules exist. In Matthew 12 Jesus breaks the rule of the Sabbath and yet remains sinless. How? Because He didn't violate the spirit of the Law. He honoured the Father by what He was doing. To be a good driver you need to know what the rules of the road are meant for, the spirit of the laws. If I am driving and the car in front of me blows a tire and loses control, I am going to respond to the car not follow the rules of the road. If I need to go into the other lane to avoid a car crash I'll do it, even though I broke the rules of the road I avoided a crash and everyone survived. You need to find the balance between the Book (Bible) and life and how life influenced the Book (Bible). The core of Scripture is LIFE. It's not about rules or following rules and being punished it's about life and death. Do the people in Scripture choose life or death? If punishment comes then ask yourself what were they doing that was bring ing death to bring the punishment. Deuteronomy 30: 11 “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ 14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. 15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, 16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments,..." As Christians morality and choosing life, etc is a good thing but we know it'll never save us. No matter how well we think we are keeping the law or being moral, we know we will all die. Immorality and sin are simply our choosing to accelerate our mortal deaths. Gluttony, Drunkenness, sexual immorality, etc are choices that accelerate our mortal deaths. Lying, cheating, harsh words bullying, condemnation, are sins against others that accelerate their deaths. Greed, lust for power, tyranny, war, are sins against the world. When you understand that morality is about life and death it becomes easier to understand what GOD wants. For example, in WW2 let's say you were hiding Jews from the N*zi's and they came to your house and asked you point blank "Do you have any Jews here?" The law of the Bible says don't lie, but if you don't then they will take the Jews to their death. YOU LIE. You LIE your behind off. Life and death vs the Law and rules. We see in Deuteronomy 30 that by choosing life we will live longer, it's not about salvation. Morality has never and will never save us, but morality may keep us and others alive long enough to come to the truth of Jesus and be able to be used by the LORD to share the Gospel. (Continued in Part 2)

I live in an area where there is a large population of a specific denomination and it’s hard as a “baby” Christian (a Christian in infancy in faith like in Ephesians 4) to understand which translations to trust, which people to trust that are preaching what they’ve read vs what has been taught in this area for generations and they’ve run with it.

Now my dilemma is which Bible dictionary would you suggest as a beginner. I see that you have one listed here in the description. I have also seen the Zondervan as well as Holman. Which of the three would you recommend. And by 3 I mean the two I listed above as well as the one that you have in your description on this video. Hope to hear from you soon. Let me start by saying, I absolutely love your videos! Your energy is amazing! So here is my question…..if we are “born again” when we are saved, then I am 5 seconds after the umbilical cord was cut! New, very new! Even tho as a child I “grew up” in the Nazarene church, as an adult, well let’s be honest, I never went to church, never read the Bible. So, now I am 56 & recently have been saved, PRAISE THE LORD! Here comes my struggle, I am “biblically illiterate”! I mean I know some of the “main” stories, like the birth of Jesus & Noah’s Ark but that’s about it. So now I pick up my Bible & like any book I start Chapter 1, verse 1. Well the book of Genesis goes into page after page of genealogy, & I just don’t get it. I find myself thinking, “how is this teaching me anything?” So I see you’ve recommended a Bible dictionary which I agree, that should help tremendously! But what recommendations do you have for a newbie, on how to study, learn, & know the Bible. I have recently started scripture journaling because to read a scripture, write it & then read it again seems to really help me. I don’t want to fall into copying scripture just to make it pretty, although I do like to make it colorful & prettt & use 5 different colored pens, but like you mentioned, I want it to have meaning for me the next time I read that scripture even years from now. Again, I am so very happy to have stumbled onto your videos & I am eager to go back & watch every one of them! Any suggestions you have for this “ newborn “ old lady would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

Thanks for your video. I wanted to build a library, too. But when I added up the cost of printed books, I knew having a good home library would take me a long time. I decided to order Logos 10 today since it is currently on sale. I also added one of the Legacy Libraries to expand my library. I am pleased to have all these resources wherever I go since I can use them on my tablet and iPhone. Do you use Logos software, or have you thought about using it? I prefer print books, but the added features and low cost of Logos made it the best choice for me.

I DEF don't recommend beginners to read chronologically because that's super confusing for them! I think people just say that because they think it sounds so smart, holy, and cool, but it means you're jumping all over the place reading multiple books at a time, with some of the same stories over and over again- it just is super complicated for beginners. For beginners, they just need to make it through their FIRST book... ya know?

Part 2/3 Also, The Bible is a book about the Israelites/Jews and their story. It's not primarily about Gentiles (non-Jews/Non-Israelites) and yet we read it as Westerners inserting our ideas and worldview into it. This is a topic of massive confusion in Christianity. The Book of Genesis alone covers like 2100 years of history. From Adam to Moses and the law was about 2700 years. Yet most of the books are about the Israelites and their history and how GOD interacted with them. There was no law given before Moses, yet generations of people lived. Paul says this in Romans 5: 12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned- 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) So Adam sinned and death came to all humanity. We are ALL mortal beings (Genesis 3:17-19) Sin and Death were in the world but the Law came later to Moses. 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses..." How many Christians know that there's a huge chunk of history (about 1/3) where the law didn't exist. Yet Abraham a gentile who became the first Israelite/Jew was called in Genesis 15. 700 years before Moses, yet we focus a lot on the law and the time leading up to Jesus, which is what a lot of Scripture covers, but I find we rarely at least not up to the last decade or so have ever really covered all that time before Moses from Adam. This is interesting Gentiles existed, as we see before Abraham, and we se Gentile kings and empires, etc, but rarely do we see an interaction of GOD with Gentiles after Abraham is called, And even less after Moses. This tells me that we need to distinguish between a broad sense of GOD and how He deals with people and why He specifically treated the Israelites differently especially with the Law than the Gentiles. When we cover the time of Moses and the Law do we really understand it? Why did it exist for them and not the world? Nowhere is Moses instructed to give the law to the Gentles. Many times it specifically says phrases like Leviticus 18:1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God." And even though the LORD mentions Gentile nations and people's He specifically applies these things to the Israelites. Why? The Law served 2 purposes, 1 it pointed the perfection of GOD and how we can't follow the Law, therefore we need a Savior and to rely on the grace of GOD daily. And it showed the Jews how to stay alive long enough as a people to bring for the Messiah. GOD gave 613 laws to the Israelites and instead of saying "We can't ever follow the laws of GOD" they said "we're going to do our best to lick these 613 laws. The better we do the more favour we have with GOD. Now true, there were some they had to follow. Like laws of the land (Lev 25-26) to remain in the land under the LORD's protection but many laws were about life, how to stay alive as a tribal people who'd face attacks by more powerful armies and empires long enough to bring forth the Messiah. The Law wasn't about salvation but about staying alive. Then the Messiah comes and He is about salvation, and not morality. For 1300 years from Moses to Jesus, they saw the Law as the way to earn fair with the LORD. It also satisfies our human nature of self-righteousness. Morality becomes the god. the pursuit of our defined righteousness. To be holy like GOD s holy, to become like GOD becomes the false religion. But when Jesus came, He wasn't about morality, salvation was found in Him alone. Trusting in Him to save, and this is offensive to the self-righteous. Many Christians point to their morality as justification of why they should be saved. I know I did. In my mind I was a good person, even a good Christian. Sure Jesus died for me, but He did't have to, I'm a moral, kind, person, who does good, who follows the rules. It's good that Jesus died for me, but to me He died for the drug addict, the drunk, the poor, those who simply struggle with righteousness. They need Jesus. Even as I read Paul call himself the chief of sinners made sense since he killed Christians in his past. I have never done anything so terrible so yeah Paul was a terrible sinner. It took me a long time to see how I needed Jesus as my saviour. I was so blind to my own sense of righteousness, and sometimes I still am. Sometimes I still see myself as good even after 30 years as a Christian. The framework of the Bible, covers a finite period of time. We don't know much about before time began in eternity past and we don't know much about eternity in the future. The Bible covers a finite period of time in between. I believe the Bible tells us how long that finite period of time is, which helps me see it as a whole. To me, this is important since over 1/3 of the Bible is about our future. (We call it Eschatology or the study of the end of things) this simply means there will be an end to time as we know it and when we all enter eternity or the eternal state This enables us to understand our past, present and future as we live in this reality. Most people you read and listen to will talk about the history of the Bible, places, people, etc. BUT it was fascinating for me to learn that a giant chunk of the Bible was about the future. It also, helps me to organize the Bibles the passage about the past, the present time in which it was written (their current events) or about the future?? One of the things many Christians don't know today is that in the past going back over 2000 years believers understood that the framework of Scripture was 6000 years from Jesus to the 2nd Coming (or 6 days) + 1000 years as the millennial reign of Jesus as King for a total of 7000 years (or 7 days). This helps me, to see Scripture as a whole that fits between eternity past and eternity future. It also, shows us that time isn't just a straight line of past, present and future, but a circle like the seasons that repeat or at least rhymes. IN Luke 17 Jesus talks about His return which we read in Revelation and says that just before His return it'll be like the days of Noah and Lot (Genesis 6, 18-19). A reference back to the beginning. It'll be LIKE the days of Noah and LOT. Not exactly but it'll rhyme. One of the big discussions is inherency. People aren't perfect, so we need to understand that when the Bible records our actions, thoughts, responses it's not an endorsement it's a historical recording. It is true, the people who lived did and said these things. What we need to understand is how the LORD responds, says, and promises, etc. One of the contextual understanding I had to adopt is that the Bible is opposite to evolution. In our world we are told that in the past humans were dumb and that over time we have evolved at getting smarter. The monkey to man chart. But the Bible shows us the opposite. . For example, 2 passages I like to talk about it Genesis 18, and Jonah 4. In Genesis 18 we have the LORD coming to Abraham with 2 others (3 men the Bible says). Now this wasn't the first visit because we see Abraham has a welcoming process or hospitality and we see the same hospitality from Lot in Genesis 19. So if God is the same yesterday today and forever why doesn't He come to us and eat dinner with us in a human form? I think it's not that the LORD has changed but we have. We know GOD created Adam and Ever perfect which means they had access to 100% of their brain capacity, even after they sinned humanity for a long time I think had access to more of the brains capacity. For example, in Genesis 4 after Cain was exiled it says: Gen 4:16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. 17 And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city..." (Continued in part 3)

Part 3/3 In Genesis 18 when the LORD and his 2 entourage come to Abraham they have a chat. Eventually the LORD say to Abraham that He's about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of the wickedness. Abraham who is called a righteous man doesn't say "Yeah I know those cities are so sinful, you should totally destroy it." Abraham says in Gen 18:23 23 And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? 25 Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” 26 So the Lord said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” We see Abraham negotiate it down to 10 righteous and the LORD agrees. 32 Then he (Abraham) said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He (The LORD) said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.” This is a passage that shows us what our response should be and how GOD deals with us. First, there was an estimated 100,000 people between these 2 cities. Maybe more. Yet GOD would have spared the cities despite their sins for the sake of 10 righteous. We see in 2 Chronicles 7:14 14 "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." Our human minds look at all the sin around us and expect GOD to bring His judgment like He did with Sodom and Gomorrah, however, judgment only comes when there are no or not enough righteous in that place. Why is GOD different today? It's not Him, it's us. The Gospel has gone out and we as the righteous by His blood, we few are the buffer. However, when we become unrighteous or there's not enough righteousness as His people then we are no longer the buffer but the reason His wrath or judgment comes. GOD would have spared the 2 cities had there been 10 righteous and in Genesis 19 we see there was a chance for 10 people 12 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city-take them out of this place! 13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.” 14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking. 15 When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.” 16 And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. 17 So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” We known there was Lot, his wife and 2 daughters who had not known a man (4 people) so Lot having daughters with sons and laws indicates there was a least 2 married daughters with husbands (which would make 8) and Lot might have had sons (at least 2) making 10 but only 4 left with Lot's wife looking back. This is probably why Abraham stopped at 10 righteous thinking of Lot's family. So the 4 righteous were removed and judgment came. It doesn't mean that Lot's family didn't believe in GOD, but in that moment they didn't trust GOD so they were left behind. In Jonah we have a prophet of the LORD who is sent to Nineveh but refuses to go. Jonah 3 Jonah makes it to Nineveh and gives a less than stellar warning. But the LORD uses it and it says 10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it. Jonah 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. 2 So he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm. 3 Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!” Jonah's ego gets in the way. He's a prophet who wanted Nineveh destroyed. He wanted the LORD's judgment to come. But Jonah knew that if they repented as a result of warning GOD would be merciful and He was. Look at how the book of Jonah ends. 10 But the Lord said, “You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. 11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left-and much livestock?” A lot of Christians see GOD in the OT (Old Testament) as different than Jesus, but He's not. This is one of the things I needed to learn to see and understand the reason why GOD is the same but why it feels different for us. GOD is not different, we are. In the OT people knew of GOD and were freaky smart. However, now we are not smart. We access what 5-10% of our brain capacity? We do live in a time where humanity speaks one language (digital). The world can communicate and create together like the Tower of Babel. This is why Eschatology sounds cryptic. How do you write about a world in which humanity has never experienced from a technological and geopolitical standpoint? It's not that Scripture is wrong, but it's a historic writing that speaks about a futuristic world while ALL Bible prophecy including Eschatology is literal. Jesus proved that all prophecy will be fulfilled literally. John 13:19. GOD will always fulfill His Word exactly as it's written, whether we understand how we have to have faith He will. These are some of the things I wish I had known at the beginning. But there is one thing I wish I had known before. OUR GOD is not the Bible. Our GOD is alive, active, and exists outside of the Bible. The Bible isn't something we try to read as many times through as possible. In fact if you never had the Bible, GOD would still exist, and would still love you and would still reveal Himself to you and would still guide your life. GOD doesn't change and there is no "perk" to your Christian life to earn if you read the Bible more. GOD loves you, He loves all of us and He already knows al, the things we are going to do. He's always known. Every time we stumble and fall He's already known that for an eternity. He already knows how He will respond, and what will come next. Yet He never takes advantage of us with His omnipotent knowledge. This is how we see free will. We all get to chose the decisions we make. If you were given a book on your spouse, it may help, but reading it would only help if you had a relationship with your spouse. Walking with the LORD daily is the only way to know the LORD, to have Scripture make sense. Yes it has applicable truth for life like money, wisdom, morality, etc. But it's true purpose is to aid us as we walk with the LORD to see that we are human just like everyone else and we are flawed just like everyone else and He loves us as He loved them. In our weakness and flaws He is made great. To know you are loved for who you are not what you have done, or will do, or how imperfect you feel you are. He will NEVER abandon or forsake you even when the storms of life are ravaging you, He is there. If He chose to let you drown would you still trust Him? If He allowed evil to be loosed or world war to break out, would you still trust Him? It doesn't make suffering and death any less painful but as Christians we need to internalize that "everything happens for a reason" and to know it because we know the author of reality. It's not karma, or an impersonal force but GOD, and He has a plan that results in Revelation 21-22. Everything that happens leads to the future He has told us in advance. I hope this helps. Take care.

To understand the Bible correctly, you need to read and interpret the Bible correctly. The only way to read the bible correctly is to read it, Objectively in the way the Author intended it as opposed to Subjectively from you own perspective which is what Protestants, Anglicans, and Non-denominational have always done, reading the Bible Subjectively how else can one explain the multiple / multitude of Protestant, Anglican, and Non-denominational all contradicting each other not on the bible itself but even on just one topic of scripture whatever it may be.

Jesus did not give online courses for free. The truth is free, but even Bibles have publishing and printing cost. I pay thousands a month in just keeping a website, hosting site, email list, etc to have these courses online.

Some translations aren't beneficial. The Queer Bible. The Passion. There's a Bible, could be the passion that says "big G little g" give no respect to GOD.

There are totally some translations that are weird ones, I am referring to the top 10 most common/popular in the Western world in this video. It's rare that I see Bible translations of the weird ones in stores and I'm in the south where there are many Christian bookstores!
