Matt this tutorial has been a lot of help for me in refining my carvings. I don't have a lot of the burs that you have but have enough to get me by. Those inverted cup burs would be very handy to have but I just have to be patient and work it slowly and then it comes out well. The other day you textured the wool cap with a very course kutzall burr and I tried mine again and didn't get the same (rough enough) texture as your bur did. I was doing a large wood spirit again and wanted to texture the mustache and the tried a 1/4" kutzall flame bur and got the texture I was wanting. Thanks very much for your tutorials they help me out more than everyone else's.

I liked the idea 💡 that you can get 2 carvings from the same stick of wood. I don't have a band saw so I took a 4"×4" ( 100 ×100)and split it with a circular saw and I will work up some smaller wood spirits. I usually do large ones but it's time to try something different.

Cheers. Sometimes I think have the restriction of less burrs makes you use the burr you have in more creative ways. Yes I think patients is underrated in carving, probably watching 10min youtube videos of complete carving doesn't help. I think in the future I will do a video on texturing with burrs. thanks for watching.
