Lol, I know what you mean. There is an airport a few miles away. You get used to it, but I am very conscious of it when editing videos.

Awesome video man! I got lots of Nuggets of good information to help me out there! Hey I know that spot lol, let me know! Those Croppie are really really decent for that spot dude, glad you got out and hammered it!

Thanks DJ! As the water warms some even better spots should be turning on. I'll be letting you know!

Looks like you need to start keeping those crappie, probably over populated, could get some really nice sized ones with some culling!
@OpportunityFishing Жыл бұрын
Actually they have been improving in size since people started harvesting more in this pond! This year the average size has been 10in with some over 12. There is a fine balance between selective harvest and over harvest in these tiny public farm ponds though.
@bradboisseau749 Жыл бұрын
@@OpportunityFishing that’s good! And yes absolutely, especially with crappie, they’ll go nuts if let’s alone and all the sudden you got 5 million dinks lol

Hey great job.. just wondering where?not specifically..are fishing I’m in East Texas
@richardson_adventures11 ай бұрын
This is really cool! Watched a few of your videos now and encouraged to try this in Texas. What do you look for when it comes to bodies of water and areas to fish?
@OpportunityFishing11 ай бұрын
Honestly I just fish wherever I can whenever I can. I have three little kids who keep me very busy so most my fishing is within a ten mile radius of my house. Have been lucky enough to find local gems just by exploring. If I could choose a specific body of water, the number one thing I would look for is structure.

makes a lot of sense! I'm going to give this a shot. Thanks for the quick feedback!!@@OpportunityFishing

Always love the info man! I still have the bully spiders you tied for me two years ago, I like the other ones you tied me as well. Really hoping to get out to my big bluegill spot and have it not be windy so I can do a fly fishing catch and cook. Posting our river adventure this Thursday!
@OpportunityFishing2 жыл бұрын
Nice! I find the bully spiders to be most effective in spring. Probably because they work really well with a slow presentation. In summer they're not quite as good as some other options

What type of indicator is that ? And where can I find them ?
@OpportunityFishing Жыл бұрын
It's called Oros. Most fly shops in the states should carry them, or you can order them online. Mad River Outfitters has them I believe

Is it balanced? Try again with a loop knot.
@OpportunityFishing Жыл бұрын
So I find the loop not to be useful when you are checking the balance during the tying process, however I would actually recommend a clinch knot if you are planning on hanging it under an indicator. The reason being is you can adjust the balance point by moving the knot on the eye of the hook. Anytime I'm stripping flies in though I like loop knots for sure

What is the name of that indicator?

@@kevinmartin2096 if you are in Colorado last time I was at front range anglers in Boulder they had a ton of them. Otherwise you could probably order some online. Mad river outfitters has a pretty good online shop.
