Thanks for this guide. This was something I was looking for as a new player. I always liked what they do, But it was just too much. And then I heard of the upcoming updates and such, So I had the stuff in my account and got the beta. LOL Now, I have something to work with. I can use this guide to get used to the game. Get it to max level. Get my bearings and really get to know what I am doing along the way. Seems like a marriage of Hunter/Druid with some small touches of other classes tossed in. heh

If you get tundra tracker, you can put in deep freeze which is free damage without having to use a GCD

I have been playing locust since A52 expanded to TBC... and 8:28 I've notice you have munitions expert on with the buff Heavy Munitions (Armor-piercing= attack slower) instead of High velocity Munitions (Quick-draw= attack faster).. why not shoot faster? the -10% is not much to lose, but the faster you shoot the more quivers to fire. also I can see why this build is good for chimera cause it gets alot of bonus's for chimera but in A52 my strongest ability is Wild Wrath... (stabling at 21k Overhaul dmg with T5 raid gear) also I dont use expunge cause I know a macro to keep Naturally Strong up instead. x)

there's only so many shots you can get off with steady shot weaving, especially with compound speed, so it's already at a theoretical cap. I could see it being different on A52 since you can't combine.

@ @ your speed can only go down to 0.25 max but also your auto shots can also proc a quiver if the target has IS or SS one if the two you you have a chance to proc two quivers

thanks for this guide and nicely edited. my i ask, how do u set up "tell me when" addon and which version of it are u using? do you have to enter the ability IDs manually?

I'll update the architect build with my WeakAuras later today and you can import to edit how you'd like. You can download the spell id addon in the launcher and it will give you all spell ids in the tooltips of things in game if you want, otherwise, most addons like WeakAuras have a setting that will "listen" for any name of ability, buff, etc..

My go-to addons for UI are Xperl, Bagnon and Bartender. The nameplates should be coming from Xperl.

Am I understanding what a synergy roll is? 1. You get 2 abilities instead of 1 at certain levels. 2. The bonus ability complements your current build. 3. It happens occasionally, not every level.

Not quite. Every time you roll/reroll, there's a weighted chance that it is a "synergy" roll, which will be an ability that's synergistic with a talent you already have, or an ability with a talent you already have. Every time you roll and don't get a synergy, it increases your chance of getting one. Is this build on viable or available in the random roll realm or can I use it on Area 52 realm as well?

You won't be able to do all the Blood Venom related things on Area 52, since that is another Legendary enchant, but I've heard from friends who play there that Locust Ranger is still decent.

In your video you started off with four skills. When i start a character i only get one, am i doing something wrong, or was this a change they made?

You probably already figured it out, but the first time you create your character, you get the 4 skills over levels 1-10. After you prestige you’ll get all four to choose at level 1.

You have to earn the cards in your collection first. Whenever you prestige for the first time, you should have all the starters, as in the basic level 1 abilities.

With level 70 starter blues and nothing new to the build, about 30k single target, 20-25k when bosses get melted too fast. Build changes, M+ gear, and enchants will be next video

You gain talents and abilities randomly, it doesn't mean your build is completely random. This guide is to help people understand the synergies of the things they could roll and how to play it.
