I am watching this video, again. And I still chuckle when you 'swish, swish, swish' the inside lining to clean it. You rock on, GF. That is the way to do it. No one has time to mess around. You do you!! BTW, love your videos, keep up the great info and entertainment.

Loved this video. You showed and explained everything from materials needed to how to sew the actual item. Some people only show the materials and then show us a finished product, but they forget to show how to sew the item. Not very helpful when they do that, especially for beginners. You do a great job - congrats. Will be watching more of your videos soon.

Thank you for this video tutorial - for introducing me to PUL. My husband's cousin's son is allergic to quite a bit of food, especially nuts, so he has to bring home lunch every day. They will be visiting us during the summer, so I'll be making the Sandwich Bags along with the Snack Bags especially for him. I like how Boxing the Corners helps the bag to stand up so they can concentrate on loading the bag. I'm a visual learner so I appreciate this.

OMG! Hi there, I just found you 2 days ago and have very blood shot eyes from binge watching🥴. Totally subscribed. I’ve been just getting into sewing, my history is about 6th grade knowledge from home-ec. Many many many years ago. I don’t think it’s even a class anymore! Thank you for, in my opinion taking the extra steps in your explanations. I’ve watched many and understand most (I’m not clueless ☺️) but for whatever the reason I connect to your explaining. You’re so fun and such a pleasure. I’m going to for sure attempt this project this weekend. Zippers scare me. But first the market bag you recently showed. If I knew your mother, I would steal if from her after she took it from you. Now, to convince my hubby to use this bag for his nuts🤔. TFS ~Phyllis ❤️❤️

Jess OklaRoots hi Jess, I just finished my market bag! It’s awesome. I didn’t box bottom because I was to excited to be done. Let me just say, bonjour to French seam. I like that better than trying to insert and flipping out and sewing 3 inch blah blah blah. Maybe when I’m better but for me a bag is a bag😀. Thanks again, luv your channel. And yes, I know I should have put this on that video but my tech skills are still a work in progress🥴 ❤️Phyllis

In this video you say the right side of the PUL is the shiny side. In your two color snack bag video you say the other side! I love your videos! You are so honest and funny and informative!
@OklaRoots3 жыл бұрын
I’m so glad you mentioned this! I’ve been so confused about PUL, but after reaching out to my retailer it turns out they’re BOTH the right side 🤯, it just depends how you want to use them! I’ve been using the shiny side as the right side for things that could stain (berry bags, for example) and the fabric side as the right side in other cases.

I’m an experienced quilter. But I thought I’d go a bit out of my comfort zone and try this. Your directions are great! However, I am finding working with the PUL fabric incredibly difficult. Won’t move through my machine at all. Closing the bottom at the end was a nightmare. I don’t know about others but some tips about how you are managing the PUL don’t doesn’t pull, distort, or plain not love through the machine, would be very very helpful thank you 🙏!

I already washed it and put it in the dyer with scent free dryer sheets, but the smell is still there. If you’ve had this issue, any suggestions of how to get rid of it? I worry about it altering the taste of the food.
