Beginner Friendly Series - The Basics | Castile | Emperor | Europa Universalis IV | 3

This series is intended to help new players get to grips with and understand Europa Universalis IV (EU4). The idea is that through watching someone more experienced go through the same processes that you will, it will help teach the game. As such, I play through this as normal, but take the time to go into more detail about what is happening, and why. Beatify is pronounced bee-at-ify and means a declaration by the Church that a person is in heaven and therefore worthy of veneration, it's the first step in the process of becoming a saint. Good video though really enjoying the series.

Do you always change your republic to monarchy or stick with it? If you stick with it, what is your tips on exploiting the mana points on the election day?

Not any more no, I really like Republics at the moment! Main thing with re-elections are to make sure your republican tradition is above like 60%. Generally do not start electing the same guy again (as in building someone up to 6/6/6) until you hit 90+ as that gives you the leeway you will need. More Republican Tradition you can load in, the more you can re-elect and the more MPs you will earn. Therefore, Republican Tradition bonuses are likely the *most* important modifier you can get as a republic.
