By far, you are the most informative dark and darker player. Because of your guides (and my veteran friend's help) I was able to win a 2v1. My friend could have taken them, but he just stood back and let me do it. A rogue and a fighter, vs me on fighter. I got tons of blocks off and they just fell apart. After watching your guides I went from being total dead weight for my friend to carry to actually being able to take pressure off of him in pvp.

I truly enjoy your style of video's. They are very informative, straight to the point and not a whole lot of fanfare. I have just started playing Dark and Darker, what tips do you have for getting better at fighting, both PvE and PvP? I am a player who likes to just go in and loot and try to get out. I hate the PvP aspect because I am just terrible at it. I struggle at fighting the PvE at times so fighting another player is just too much for me LOL......TYIA
@YourBoyBlinn3 ай бұрын
the best advice for any new player is to not try and go too fast.. everything in this game takes longer than you expect.. you swing slow, the mobs take a good number of hits -- so try to really only fight one PvE at a time and dont try to rush through spaces or jump too quickly into a new space. going slow is the best way to get out alive! good luck & keep me posted on your progress!!
@Kaluka1014 ай бұрын
Hey man awesome video, this is my first time watching you and I really love the slow playstyle along with the idea of making "pockets" of shadows as you move so that you have darkness at your back in case of a surprise fight. I'm pretty new to Dark and Darker and it's great vids like these that I think other new players should watch instead of the common "DO THIS OP BUILD/CLASS AND WIN EVERY RUN" types of videos because newer players don't have all the technical skill down to be able to win one on ones consistently, so ambushes are a great idea. Anyways, congratulations on 1000 subs man! Not everyone pulls that off and I think you got some cool stuff on the way, good luck with everything and I look forward to more content.

i would like to add, the bottom left GC is actually cracked. when you spawn go right into the big room, and go down the hole. there are like, 6 giant chests on that route, only fighting a couple skellies in the way to get them. nobody will bother you down their either. then you are leading right into the wet area one module above, where if youre not full of loot there are often ornate chests around, + the big chest by the mage and lion's chest in the cave. this has been my reliable money maker recently.
@YourBoyBlinn4 ай бұрын
this is an excellent route! totally hear you about the number of chests in the 'basement' of the bottom left corner module, but be careful because Ive def snuck up on some people down there! haha

Honestly I learnt goblin caves the most by trying to learn cave troll. That was a previous goal of mine before the game was removed on steam and I could never achieve it, so when it came back I was set on killing cave troll at least once. Pathing to cave troll quickly REALLY helped me memorize certain nodes and like a jigsaw puzzle once you know a couple nodes you start memorizing the nodes next to them, and the nodes next to those, you memorize the exist spawns and the mobs. By the time I killed cave troll for the first time I felt like I understood like 70% of the goblin caves map the only things I still wasn’t sure of were the other floors that don’t appear on the map. Plus cave troll is easy now it’s like learning to ride a bike.

If I want PVP. I always just run to the middle of the map with the lift. If I don't wanna deal with people, I stay along the outside of the map.
@YourBoyBlinn4 ай бұрын
thats a good approach, but I usually want to reduce the risk of another player attacking me just after I get into a fight. running on the edge of the map decreases the likelihood of being 3rd-partied :)

Is the Mace a sword-type weapon for fighter? does it count as a sword, asking for the perk?

You mention about 15:40 you carry the oil lantern for people running and warlock action, how would you use an oil lantern to help in that situation? Aren't oil lanterns like explosive bottles?
@YourBoyBlinn4 ай бұрын
yes, the oil lantern can be thrown like an explosive bottle, and the fire from both of those items counts as magic damage. when Warlocks use phantomize, they are particularly susceptible to magic damage so I try to throw fire at them when they use that ability :)
@famozen4 ай бұрын
What is the point in using Sword Mastery if you are using the Mace?
@YourBoyBlinn4 ай бұрын
you are totally right! Sword Mastery does nothing for my mace, and is a hangover from my previous build where I rely 100% on the arming sword.. now that I've basically switched to the mace full-time, I should swap that out for Swift, or any other perk! But note that I do use the arming sword for the fight with the rogue.. so at least in that fight I got the benefit of the perk :)
@maidguy3 ай бұрын
@@YourBoyBlinn what made you go for the switch? have you found the armor pen helps you secure more kills?
@YourBoyBlinn3 ай бұрын
@@maidguy In short, yes! the mace I have found is more versatile against all types of classes, because of the higher base damage and armor pen. the arming sword can be great against cloth armor or in fights where you need an extra-fast attack.. but the arming sword does pitiful damage against plate/PDR. running the mace makes it easier for me to chunk down those armored opponents and I also really like the attack pattern since it's easy to drag around parry longsword!

hay blinn love your vids but i have a question what are your thoughts on the different weapons that fighter has is it best to just have one kind or is it best to have different tools in hand to use
@YourBoyBlinn4 ай бұрын
there are too many different weapons and loadouts for me to describe here, but maybe the most important thing to consider is: what do you want to get out of your raid? if it's loot, then don't take extra gear (e.g. an extra sword or mace) because that's going to take up inventory space.. if you're dropping in to get more PvP practice, and don't plan on looting extensively, then IMO it's ok to lose a bit of inventory space in favor of a second weapon or shield. space is limited, so plan your equipment & manage your inventory based on your goals for the raid! oh, and keep your shield up! haha
