I'm headed out to our 10 acres to build the 1st cabin to start a glampling site. This is the site that helped me make many of my decisions. I'm 2 hour north of Houston Texas so I have 2 hour two decide if the structure going to be a treehouse or an A frame.plans are to have sheep and other animals for folks to pet, plant an orchard, offer massages and have a zip line. maybe a gun range and teach gun safety and then let the folks shoot at targets. thanks for encouragement. come see me sometime in Centerville Texas.

I own land building a skillion passive solar cottage. Basically an earthship but no tires. Doing a north cmu block wall with post and beam timber frame. I like how Acorn to Arabella built there boat house. Surviving Ringworm, Bush Radical, and Shawn Jame/ My self Reliance are all in my similar climate and latitude. We go up to camp 3-4 times a year 9-14 days at a time. We tarp our tents. It always rains. I like the metal folding chairs cheaper than plastic ones. I built an outdoor rustic kitchen out of old shed doors. And a customers unwanted old sink. I was thinking of building a platform off our ridge for handicap hunters. We have a few bear guides around that have their own camps.

Have just bought my own 5 metre bell tent, will be perfecting my site over the next few months and will launch next year probably on Airbnb , based on the Wild Atlantic Way in sunny Cork Ireland and less than one mile to the local beach. We have our own large plot that we are turning into natural woodland. Can’t wait to get started ! Thank you for the videos, they are really useful and have made me even more determined to make this work :)

Great content...container homes, not very DIY...requires a lot more skill then the average weekend worrior. I know of at least 3 people who started w the containere build and have since quit or stopped work. They look cool...I personaly considered one a few years back, but the cost was just out of my reach at the time 😢

"Building lodging vs buying lodging?" The missing piece with this question is why not go "Prep-Fab" to start with. Ready made tiny cabins or tiny houses for under $10,000 are available. And if you buy DIY kits, the cost can be half that of a premade one.
