Me too. Thanks to Thaddeus for this knowledge. I just bought my first electric guitar last week as I try to learn both acoustics and electric. For me it’s the tremolo (whammy bar) that dazzled me. Was really wondering what it was😂

what do the markers on the fret indicate ?

They help you find the fret easier, like if there's a dot on the fifth it'll be easy to know at a glance where it is without counting
