All the other vids gloss over a ton of stuff, assuming the watcher already knows a bunch. You are the first video that more than adequately described the way in which an electric guitar works. I appreciate it. Question: with a humbucker pick up, can I produce a soft and mellow sound if I wanted?

Thanks a lot, man, I recently bought a strat and I didn't know much about the springs, etc. This has helped me a lot since I had just started playing electric (I used to play an acoustic before).

Dude this video is so concise and answers all the questions I had. I'm looking to pick up an electric after playing acoustic and this video got me caught up to speed to make my purchase decision. Cheers!

This was the 5th or 6th video I watched on the subject, and the only one that explains everything so well. I feel like I actually know about the different parts of a guitar and their purposes to help me make a more educated decision when shopping for a guitar. Than you so much for this! Very well done!

A huge thank you for teaching this guy the basics. Bought a Squire Vibe 70’s HSS and a Fender Mustang GTX 100w amp on line thru Fender. I never even held a guitar let alone play one 😂 and it’s a lefty too. Any tips ? I’m watching a marathon of your videos

Thanks for doing this video. It is very informative and I have learnt a lot. I have played a little of acoustic guitar, open chords. I have being doing some research on what electric guitar to try. My favourite seems to be a Stratocaster for aesthetic reasons. I might have to settle for a cheaper guitar to begin with. I love the guitar you are using as a demonstration 😃

Even if they don't, you can still play when you're an adult! I didn't start learning until I was 27.

If they don't wanna because of the noise, you can buy a headphone amp and plug it into your guitar to play. It's a regular amp but for headphones

Hi everyone. Can any help me? I recently purchased a Brian head Welch 7 string LTD with evertune bridge. It sounds absolutely awful. I've tried changing strings twice and endless amp settings. It even sounds bad unplugged. I play an LTD baritone 7 string with EMG's which is absolutely fantastic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
