I play for 16 Years now and still use my first GRG very often. Ok i modded it with some EMG HZ, but if i need a quick Drop-D feel good shred neck Guitar im familiar with, i still use it once or twice a week. Nothing wrong with a ibanez. And its built in indonesia, like way more expensive guitars. Built quality is good. Neck is very good. And its "relic" now. Without the 4k Dollar fee Custom shops charge ^^. Do i have better guitars? Yes. But its the guitar i would be most angry if its destroyed or stolen (but noone would steal her)

I went to Guitar Center today to buy my first guitar. I’ve been playing for over 20 years, so I thought it was about time I got my hands on one. When they asked what I was looking for, I told them that I wanted to something that would reflect my years of experience. They asked me what I currently owned and were shocked to find out I’ve never touched a guitar in my life. They laughed at me, then told me I need to start of with a Squier Bullet because I’m not actually experienced. Outraged by the insulting nature of their tone, I picked up the $10k PRS Private Stock Hollowbody II that was on the top row (as I am 9 feet tall), then proceeded to 035 until the whole store stopped to listen. They were so impressed that they let me keep the guitar for free. Also I still wet the bed.

What is sweep picking?

@@Songbirdstress basically where instead of downpicking each note individually, you sweep your picking hand across the strings and do all your fretting with legato, allowing you to play faster than you can pick notes. It can be pretty difficult because your fretting hand needs to be able to play two or three notes and move onto the next string in the time it takes your sweeping hand to fall from one string to the next
