I also use Notion to track plant care, but I haven't been able to make a page look like this! Would you ever consider making a video showing how you designed and set up your notion page? I just have one big table on a page and can't seem to modify it so I'd love to see how to make it look like this!

When my family moved into our condo, my mom did a call with a plant consultant. The plant consultant basically just recommended some plants that fit our space well and gave some tips on caring for them. Ex: succulents on one of the windowsills. I think you would great at this and it’s also a simple way to make some extra money. It is also really helpful for people who want plants but don’t know anything about them just like my mom!

Years back, I had a rubber tree. The thing I learned about it was that it always took 6 weeks to express a reaction to anything that happened to it. If it was allowed to go too long without watering, it was 6 weeks later that it started yellowing and getting 'burned spots' on its leaves. Someone once dropped it during moving, breaking the pot and exposing its roots; I repotted it immediately, but it expressed its trauma 6 weeks later. But if it got some good fertilizer or was repotted, it showed growth spurts and new leaves 6 weeks later, too. Suffice it to say, when it demonstrated suffering or struggle, you had to attend to it immediately and have patience nursing it back for 6 weeks.

Very nicely done. Houseplants are always so nice to look at year round. Best part is sharing your plants by taking stem clippings to root in water (stem propagation) and then either gifting the plant later or keeping it for yourself. I find this challenging & so satisfying growing from clippings. Your ivy, umbrella & philodendron plants are easy ones to start from clippings. Great video. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Niagara Canada!

I've noticed that when I dont care about my plants thats when they thrive the most 😅 I don't water mine that often because we get less sunlight in the winters here in Sweden, so remember to water less in autumn/winter time. A tip for anyone, remember to twirl your plants around so both sides gets equal amount of sun, or else the plants start to grow wonky, I've learned from my mistakes... I love your plants btw and this video!

Welcome to plant parenthood!! Just to clarify so you aren’t misinformed - plants don’t work like air purifiers and won’t purify your air to the degree you think they might it’s mostly a marketing scheme to sell them that way & plants actually release CO2 (small amounts) at night and oxygen during the day! They might not help you sleep better but they do provide nice ambiance in any room that’ll make you feel more cozy at least :)

The "find a space for your plants and not a plant for your space" quote hit home.. cause nowadays, people be buying plants for the sake of aesthetic while knowing too well that they won't be taking care of them at all!!! The " i cant keep plants alive" is the most hideous thing close to an explanation they'd have to offer!! Plants are living, breathing creatures, they're pets as well, they must be taken care of!!

may i ask what is the behavior of peperomia? i have one too but i don't understand if she loves the heat of the sun or not, if she loves to be watered every day or i don't know. will you please help me? and thank you in advance 😇
@cloudyhills2 жыл бұрын
Mine is a peperomia rana verde. She likes medium to bright filtered (ie. through a window) light. You can put her on a windowsill (except in hot summers because she can get burnt), or 2 to 3m away from the window is also fine. She likes to dry out between waterings - so use the "soak and dry" method. What I do is water her approx. every 5-9 days depending on the season and how much sun there is eg. 5 days when it's summer, 7 days when it's spring/fall, 9 days in winter. Generally peperomia is really easy to take care of and you don't have to pay her too much attention :) It's "safer" to underwater than overwater her
