Been crocheting for almost 20 years and have never seen the 2nd method done before. Brilliant tutorial!! (And I can confirm that if you don’t carefully weave in those ends at the center, they will come apart in nearly every single square of your blanket and you’ll cry)

I’ve been crocheting 57 years. I still need the security of a knot so I’m happy you showed that as well. Thank You.

What do you do with the last string you have out? Do I cut it or sew it in as well?

Do you remember the yarn you used in this? I’ve only used 100% acrylic but I like the looks of this and was wondering the materials in this yarn. Thanks!

I believe it’s stylecraft special DK as she used this yarn in other videos around this time and the colours are the same.

I made myself a granny hexi cardian a month ago and my ends are already poking out 😢 i always keep them pretty long though, so I have room to fix them (im...too paranoid ab it and it probably doesnt help) Hopefully this vid helps! Esp bc a friend asked me to make one for her too 😅

As another tip - I’d recommend using a sharp needle - these are usually labelled darning needles in craft shops rather than tapestry/yarn needles. I find when I use a sharp needle the ends poke out much less!
