Thank you roger. My sister has a wedding in April these will be perfect for! I hope you don't mind but I modified the ends for 1/4 lauan. It's all I can ever find at the big box stores. I checked every dollar tree near me. None of them had a clue when they were trying to help me find the wood in your video. I'd be happy to share the file if needed

Yes, modifying the slots to use 1/4" ply is not difficult. Lowes and Home Depot also carry 3mm plywood in 4 x 8' sheets, if you need a lot.

Are these 'sign blanks' usually flat enough to use or do you usually have to flatten them? I had to hunt through several Saturday to find some flat enough without having to iron and press them. I just didn't really want to order a case of 24 if I am going to have to flatten half or more of them.

That can be hit or miss and I also sort through them. If I need to flatten some, I mist with water, then layer between newspaper sheets and put a concrete block on top for a few days. Works most of the time.
