Yeah there is definitely pros and cons to doing this. I was scared of the same thing but it's rare when clients have a reaction. I believe I've only have ever gotten one bad reaction the others where seasonal allergies and they had to take a break but they always come back and they are fine. But its not at scare as we make it out to be in our heads lol

I don't use saline solution for lashes. Don't do anything for them they don't clean nor prime well if anything it only made everything worse. My retention was horrible when I used it because that's what I was taught to do. And the moment I stopped everything changed for me. They say "it's good" to use it as a wash/primer because it helps not to make the natural lashes too dry but honestly it leaves a residue behind and your extension doesn't bond well with the lash. Maybe I just had a bad experience with it but from what I know most to all experienced lash artist don't use it or won't recommend for you to use saline solution. You can try it out for yourself and see what works best for you. This is just my opinion and my experience with it.

if I were to choose between the saline solution or the micellar water I would go between the saline solution because even though micellar water say they are oil free they still have some type of oil and leave more residue than what saline would leave. I don't recommend to wash your clients lashes with miscellar water. If you want the best retention and you want your lashes to actually stick to the Lash I recommend a lash back and I recommend for you to tell your girls to use a lash bath because mistler water will eventually end up breaking the bond of the glue and will cause premature shedding. If at the moment you can't invest on A Lash bath then keep doing what you're doing but when you get the chance please get one because by you taking that extra time to actually clean your client's lashes with a proper lash back that is meant for extensions and the eyes your work and your retention is going to improve so much. And your clients are going to appreciate it even more period and once you make a little bit more money the night suggests to invest in making your own lash baths to sell to your clients. not only will it bring you a little more profit but your clients will learn how to take care of their lashes and clean lashes means better retention. What Ieamt by crystalizing the glue with water is you put a drop of water in your glue when your done with the drop of glue so it helps it harden and dry up. You don't want to throw your glue away in your trash because something can catch on fire because of the chemicals in your glue doesn't go well with cotton. So make sure to crystalize it before you throw it away and it also helps with fumes. Some clients are super sensitive so when your done with one glue dot make sure to crystalize it so it hardens so it doesn't throw out fumes when your lashing. Hopefully that made sense.

Aww thanks hun! 😘 I always store mine in an air tight container. Always check your glue description if it needs to be stored in the glue if it's a must. If not you can keep it in an air tight container on your cart as long as it's out of direct sunlight and heat.

Keep it in an air tight container. When inside the fridge. Also make sure your room temperature and humidity is on point so your glue can be working it's best while lashing. Sometimes retention is not just you sometimes your clients aren't taking care of them properly so check with them if they are washing them daily and not picking at them or sleeping on them.

Hey hun. You'll have to look online to see your states regulations and laws to see if you'll need to be licensed to do lashes. Every state is different but most states do require you to be licensed. But it's best to double check. And for online classes I haven't taken any online classes so I can't recommend any good ones. I prefer to train in person because you get a better feel for it and can see how everything is really done. But what I do recommend is to look online or Instagram and look for your areas training courses and email or message them if they do online trainings. I believe Livbay Lash does online course but you'll have to double check their website.

Hey hun. What I mean is that when you're done with your glue or lashing. You put a drop of water on your glue that way it hardens and crystallizes so that way it doesn't keep throwing out fumes throughout the day. Or when your client is there if you're done with one glue dot then put a drop of glue that way that dot is done and it's not putting any more fumes out when your client is laying there . It helps with irritation that way your client doesn't get any allergies or reactions to all the fumes in the air . I hope that makes sense

what does it mean to crystallize glue? any tips for increasing speed?

"harden","dry"... Increasing speed will come with time the more clients and practice you put in the faster you will get because your hands will have muscle memory and they'll be able to do things without you having to put in so much work. In the beginning it's a lot of work because you're trying to train both your hands to work at the same time especially your non-dominant hand has to put in a lot of work with isolation. So once your hands get comfortable and used to what they are doing then that's when your speed will increase. Once you get down isolation and placement and fat making then everything else will just come natural to you and your speed will increase. But if you are barely starting off it is part of the journey so just put in the work and your time will come. If you've been lashing longer than 6 months then I recommend a faster glue that will definitely help you out.

Hey girl, I just started doing lashes and I have a few girls that have super oily skin and everytime I tape them down with the blue tape it starts to come up. Am I taping them wrong? Or is the tape? Also are the eye pads that you showed good for oily skin?

Do you wash their lashes and eyelids before you start? And also I make sure to ask my clients to always come in with no eye cream or under eye makeup because of the oils it'll lift up the pad. So if is a big issue let them know not to wear makeup or to wash their face and eyelids but not to use any eye cream or any creams near the eyes. But as precaution always wash their eyes with appropriate lash cleanser and their cheeks where the eye pad usually goes to make sure it's super clean so you don't have any problems with oils.

That should help if your still having issues let me know hun. Don't be afraid to experiment with eye pads. I'm always on the hunt for better ones. And the Nexcare blue tape is the best tape I've tried that has not let me down. So it's not the tape that's not working for you. I know because I had the same issues when I first started and that's what works for me.

Sometimes your clients will lie and say they did wash their eyes but don't actually do it lol so just take the extra time to wash them on your end so you don't have any issues while lashing. And most clients come straight from work or the gym and don't have the time to wash their lashes. And besides by you taking the extra time to wash all your clients their retention will improve.
