Beginner Macrame Kit!? | How To Make A Macrame Plant Hanger

So today I bought myself a macrame kit for beginners in the hope I'll learn how to make a macrame plant hanger. And in all honesty I did not think I was going to be able to make anything, let alone a macrame plant hanger! I definitely tend to struggle when it comes to textile crafts, however this beginner macrame kit was super easy to follow, and I was shocked at how easy it was to make a macrame plant hanger as soon as I got my head around it. Now since I'm a beginner my macrame definitely isn't perfect, but now that I feel like I understand some of the knotting techniques, if I decided to make another macrame plant hanger I think it would look a million times better! But let me know what your thoughts were on this beginner macrame kit, and whether you'll be attempting to make your own macrame plant hanger at some point!

Bless your heart!!! That joy you felt when you finally GOT IT, in your brain? LOL That was how I felt when I was in college and finally GOT fractions! LOL Sadly, just like with the knot making, if you don't use it you lose it. So build on those skills honey! So proud of you! YOU CAN DO IT!

You did a great job, Ant. I loved the moment when you had the epiphany and realized how easy the knots actually are to create. It turned out wonderful and that's a lucky little plant to have a nice new home hand-made by its Daddy. You've got lots of materials left, so I there will surely be more macrame to look forward to in the future.

You should definitely be proud of yourself! It would be a lot easier if you had a person show you how to do it. Learning from written instructions - especially in translation - makes it many times harder. Long ago before the internet existed, I taught myself how to knit out of a book. It took multiple tries over several years before I finally got it. So go you! Persistence pays off!

You can now apply for your boy scout knot tying badge. You just to pretend your are twelve or apply retrospectively stating you had string phobia and got over it with many years of counselling, show them some KZbin videos as evidence. Hat off to you. I have always looked at macrame and thought it looks way to complicated to attempt. Kudos to you for 1. attempting it, 2. succeeding and 3. for the enjoyment it gave you when the penny dropped on how to do it. The only part of Christmas I like are the decorations, have to admit though this year I did enjoy my dinner.. it didn't include a cabbage mayo snowman😝😆

You did it!!! Ive been wanting to try macrame and this reminded me i should probably go ahead and do it. Like you i am not a huge fan of textiles but i WANT to be able to work with them. I knitted a whole scarf 🧣 for xmas this year for a guy i like and iI HATED every minute of it, but i was so excited and proud when i finished it lol And he was impressed with it though, so mission accomplished (and hopefully I never have to knit anything again lol) I hope you had a good Christmas 🎄

@@AnthonyCrammen I didn't say I could knit 🧶 WELL lol just that I finished it 😂😂😂 I made sure to tell him he could use it to go with an ugly Christmas sweater party if he wanted 🤦🏻‍♀️ I also really want to learn how to make pictures in tapestries My problem is, like you, my patience runs out and when something is monotonous I LOSE it... I never would have finished that scarf if I wasn't trying to make it for someone I REALLY like you know?
