Thank you so much for putting yourself out here and doing this. I appreciate it so much as I have just picked up the mandolin and am struggling with making it doable. It’s not easy for me my hands don’t wanna move you know I can I can practice for a little while, and then, my goodness it hurts. Thank you to you and I’ll donate to you when I get a chance and but I just wanna say thank you you’re wonderful.

You are hearing it from a grade “A” mandolin beginner. Beings I have never even picked up a mandolin or strummed on one, your lessons have gently guided me along to the place where I can now branch out and track songs in my home studio with acoustic, bass guitar, banjo & ukulele! I will follow your lessons to the very end & beyond. Thank you!!

This is a great series. The only feedback I would give on this video is around the strumming pattern, we've only really learned the basic strumming pattern and I can't quite pin down your strumming pattern here, since it seems a little different to the earlier lesson

I've been a piano and woodwind player most of my life. My mom played mandolin, a bit, I've had her 80 year old mandolin for 3 years. It's in beautiful shape. I spent some time in Mountain View Arkansa and was inspired to learn mom's mandolin. Your video popped up somehow when I was playing along with some big band tunes. Serendipity. Thank you.

great video. im learning a lot and ive only had a mandolin for 2 days now. luckily ive had a few years of guitar experience so the mandolin doesnt seem completely foreign. anyways thank you for the lessons even though the mandolin isnt the most popular instrument right now. hopefully we can bring it into the limelight a little more.

My daughter has taken Suzuki violin for years and I know all the violin strings and notes so I think I will pick it up quickly. Thanks so much for these fantastic videos!!! Any recommendations on a brand or what price point I should I look in?
