I went to cosmetology school and though I learned about nails, I never had any training in acrylics. Only students that were specifically training to be a manicurist learned about it. I have just recently gotten heavy duty into doing nails. I mainly do polygel. I am purchasing acrylic powder and everything else you need for that application. So, I have been watching your channel and Kiara Sky channel for instruction with acrylic application. I think you do a very nice job showing and explaining. I appreciate your teachings and tutorials. This video is my favorite. #35. I have been watching your videos for a while now and they have helped me grow in the nail industry so much. This video is basic but one of those most needed. Getting the liquid to poweer ratio is so so important. Once you learn the right techniques doing it this way. After you have mastered this afterwards everything becomes so much easier from laying down the acrylic smoothly as u said in your 200th video. And filing and shaping is such a breeze. This is why this is my favorite. Thank you Vee for taken the time to help and inspire us all.

THANK YOU FOR FINALLY SAYING IT!!!! I have watched so many videos trying to figure out one simple thing and NO ONE! I MEAN NO ONE has said to turn the brush over after scrapping the brush on one side so you get the side of the brush with the most monomer on the right side. I am brand new.... like fresh out the womb brand new to nails and something that almost seems like common sense to most was getting me super frustrated and I was having the hardest time 🙃 so thank you so very much for telling me FINALLY even the smallest part of what you're doing. Because even watching you, it doesn't even look like you're turning your brush over and so you pointing that out and slowing down just enough so I can see that was the last peice to the puzzle for me. I know that for many ppl that will sound like common sense or others may think that someone else has already made videos so there is no need in explaining that small step. Please know, that I didn't know that and I was having a super difficult time trying to figure out how everyone was doing it and I was messing up and now I know. Please keep teaching the way you teach 🙏 🙌 I would have given up had someone not explained that correctly. I cannot thank you enough 🤗🤗🤗
@megansmith1382

Now one more question and please, if anyone knows the answer please please tell me hehe. Okay, so, once you get a bead and you apply it to the nail and you wipe your brush on a paper towel to clean your brush then you start working your bead in place, when and why do you dip your brush back in the monomer (acrylic liquid)? I mean before getting another bead to work with? I've seen multiple videos and I've noticed almost everyone will place the bead on the nail then immediately wipe the brush to clean it, start to manipulate their bead and then dip the brush back into the monomer and continue working that same bead. So im curious when do you know u need more monomer and why do you need more monomer?

Now, I decided to start again I'm in my 2nd month starting all over and I found you I feel so lost because I'm now 2 decades. Behind on everything!! It's always been my passion... sometimes my daughter laugh at me when I ask her what's that or that or I've never heard of that either!!!! We laughed then she just tell me too keep it up mommy you will get it!!! Now I wanna say thank you for online classes ( KZbin) nd tell you to keep of the FABULOUS WORK it's not ever gonna go unseen

This is my favorite video out of all of them. Because before you can do anything you have to know your powder to liquid ratio. And this taught me how to do that. You've come a long way and you inspired me to really do nails again and start practicing. I didn't know nothing about that I just use to do anything but now I don't got it down packed but I know how to use my powder and liquid much more correctly and I want to say Thank you so much 💖 for not only inspiring me but teaching not only me but others as well.

Thank you 😊I’m goin to try tapping instead of dragging bcus I do agree it doesn’t always distribute evenly and whn i apply to the nail it sometimes doesn’t want to get off the brush. This video was very informative and explains alot thank you

Hey, this is one of my favorite video from you, not just because you are showing us your technique, but you are showing us multiple times. This lets me know that what you are teaching us we will get the same results once if we listen and practice. This helped me so much on my acrylic application 💕

This is my favorite video! I have recently started watching your videos and doing my own nails and this video is a game changer. I even did my right hand and they came out so good after following the ratio. You are such and inspiration, I wish one day to be half as good as you! Thank you so much for all the knowledge you share with us and for always giving new tips on your videos!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for making such detailed videos! I'm currently in school to be a nail tech and not really being taught much of anything at all, hardly got anything in my kit and demos showing us how to do something was very short and vague so your videos are helping me a lot right now. New subscriber, absolutely love the time and explanation you put into them, I cannot thank you enough! 💖💖

This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I’ve been trying to learn how to do acrylic so I can do my own nails. It has helped me understand how to pick up a good bead. This along with your other basics videos including the shape filling one. They have really helped me when practicing and I hope to get better at it with help from your videos

I'm only just starting out as a nail tech (currently studying and we haven't gone into acrylics yet) but when I first attempted it I watched another video but it didn't feel right. After watching your video you explained it so much better and I preferred your technique. Since then I subbed and love watching you work! So thanks x
