A tip is turning the lamp on right before you place the nail in it so that you don't have to maneuver your fingers to hold it & turn it on while trying to hold it down. Also LongHairPrettyNails is the go to on Kiara Sky gelly tips. She has a lot of tricks & tips for beginners.

I think you did a wonderful job! Especially for someone that doesn't f with nails that much, as you stated before. I have the same kit & got extra tips for $29. Both short & coffin & almond (don't fit any of my nails, they're too skinny). Anyways, I tried to do them twice since & I can not for the life of me make it straight & the glue part? Idk if im adding too little or too much cause they pop right off when im trying to cure. Moral of my Harry Potter Book someone was over before I got to try the kit & they stole the LED/UV lamp it came with! So I have this huge nail lamp & its hard as hell. I give up. Or until i can buy another lamp:( I had plenty of lamps I woulda been more than happy to give them one or two if they woulda asked. But nah smh I dislike dishonest people. But again A+ for you & thank you very much for your service Ma'am(:

I tried a kiss real short and they were still too long for me. I have really short nail beds, though. I think the reason your thumb fit better is because the nail bed of your thumb is longer than the nail beds on your other fingers.

I've found Kiss Petite nails are the only ones I don't have to clip shorter. Those I can typically manage with just a light file. I too have super short nail beds.

Really mine always last longer then 2 weeks , and I offload company trucks for work. Maybe its ur prep .

@@MariaSanchez-ty8uz can you share your prep? Because even sanding, etching and ensuring the right size. I get at most 3 days

Hey I use apres but they’re basically the same. It’s all about the prep, push back cuticles and cut off the dead skin. Make sure to get a good dehydrator and primer. Etch the soft gel nails with a efile. Another thing is make sure you have a strong UV led lamp. Also make sure to add the primer to the soft gel nails as well.
