I never used acetone to flush the cuticle before, but I've used protein bond to do it and it is definitely a great hack!

I find the only problem with designing the nails before hand is that the tips shrink once you place them under the lamp, and then when you go to apply them they have shrunk a bit and may no longer fit your nails. I always suggest going up one size if someone is going to be painting and designing the nails prior to putting them on. Especially if the nails are going in and out of the nail a few times that really does shrink them.

I struggled with that little lamp, but you did so great! I ended up buying the melodysusie 2 in 1 because I was sick of the struggle! Kiara Sky should have definitely included an auto on/off option Beetles did with their Gel X dupe system. It seems like a huge oversight, especially for the price and good reputation of KS.

Kiara sky lamp is the original and the best version cause of the easy access from the sides. Then other brand copied off of their lanp

@@osopetty1761 Yes, it may be the original, but it's not the best due to its lack of features. It's still hard to maneuver and all I was saying is that for the price, it could come with an auto on/off sensor. I would rather use a gooseneck lamp which is why I invested in the Melodysusie one

Thank you for the video, I’m buying the short tips..I have the kit but bought it with the long coffin…you made me want to try them. I’ve never done the acetone trick but I usually use protein bond to do that and it works but I’m going to try the acetone lol..your nails are cute!

Brandi to me the length isn't really a big deal as you said the can always be cut to your preferred length! However I really did enjoy this as I so do LOVE the bright neon colors! I definitely have to give this kit a try. I usually use Beetles tips but my thumbs have a wider cuticle bed than the rest of my hands and I always have to spend extra time to file down the thumbs so the tips fit. Maybe kiara sky’s tips will help me skip that extra step

It could possibly be that your nail tips are too small. When sizing out your nail tips try to just place the nail on your natural nail to see if it fits from side wall to side wall without applying pressure and pushing it down.

The proper nail prep makes all the difference. If the prep is A1 they can last up to 3 weeks.
