Awesome review! Sooooo nice to get some pointers/different perspective! I just got back into helis a few months ago after a 10 year hiatus! Bought a little micro (Blade Nano CP S) and flew it around the living room, since it was winter. Also spent hours and HOURS on the flight sim. Have a 250 clone, an ANCIENT Heli-Max Axe CP and a T-REX 450 (a REAL one). LOVE them all, but the Axe and 250 needed fixing from damage 10 years ago before I quit the hobby. I'm STILL not a very good pilot, but I'm getting better ... SLOWWWWLY! Thanks for the GREAT vid! :)

Omg, it’s all coming back now. My first heli was the eSky honeybee cp 2. I thought it was broken and impossible to fly. After never getting off the ground and several repair jobs I figured out I need to start in a simulator. I can’t believe that was 15 years ago. The first “nano” heli I had was the Walkera 4#3. It was amazing for its time but heavy and fragile and all over the place to try to keep in the air. Later came the blade MSR and the guy from Prox Dynamics and I can’t remember the other guy who invented the clever props that would self stabilize (ended up in those cheap tiny air hog helis). I remember in the 80s the rc helis were huge and near impossible to fly. We’ve come a long way. Now I’m too lazy for helis and loving fpv and my new Trashcan :)

I was flying my E-Flite Blade 230S helicopter when I decided to spend $50 on an Inductrix and see what all the hype was about... I flew Heli’s for years.. 30+ years in RC Cars, Trucks, and my favorite Motorcycles.. Honestly though all of the innovation today is in Quads.. Cars and trucks haven’t had any kind of new ideas or totally new products... Last one was AVC (active vehicle control). It’s a gyro connected to the front wheels, turning the front as the rear slides back and forth.. You can MASH the gas and still go fairly straight.. That was over 5 years ago... Where’s the new ideas??? Drone innovation is having 1 board for the flight control, speed control, and receiver.. CHOPPING the space needed to the size of a tiny whoop for brushless... That’s innovation...

Unfortunately, the entire operating manual is all in Chinese. I tried to follow all the start up procedures that I have seen on UTube but every time I get it to throttle up it shuts down and starts beeping. Do u know where I can find an English Operating Manual??? Or at least explain to me what on earth am I doing wrong? The last thing I want to do is crash it on its very first maiden flight. Can u also tell me if this helicopter needs to be calibrated and how do I go about it. Please help???? Thanks.

Hello im new to this rc heli thing but im trying to get into this heli hobby thing. Im 15. I found a Trex 450Pro DFC super something at my grandparents' home. It's been sitting on top of this cabinet for 5+ years now. What do i do to put it up to speed? Do i replace some parts before i fly it? While looking for it's radio (no one really knew where it was since they haven't been used for years now, im still looking for it) I also found a trex 600 pro nitro dfc super something. My grandfather made both of them as a kit when he was into rcs. I looked into them a bit they were both had the fly barless system. What do i do for maintenance for both of them the T-rex 450 had a bit of rust but overall seemed to work I found the batteries in it's box and it turned on. i wasn't able to look at the T-rex 600 properly since it has paper bags covering it and i didn't want to break anything so i left it inside the cabinet i found the 450 and their boxes in. My grandfather's a cool dude.

Question re: your pitch levels: if you have a 0 degrees pitch at mid level throttle, that means you have negative pitch from throttle 0% to mid throttle. Isn’t this only applicable if you are doing inverted heli moves? If you’re flying regularly, would the setup above result in the following behaviors? 1. Until your throttle moves up past mid throttle, your heli will be stuck to the ground. The negative pitch causes your heli to go down onto the ground, right? 2. When your airborne and you decide to bring down the heli, once your throttle falls below mid-stick, it will basically accelerate downwards to the ground faster than it normally would , causing it to hit the ground harder and faster than normal.
@TonyRule5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but you never close the throttle that much - you just reduce it to descend - the worst thing you can have is too low a head speed because blade stall is not good - keep the head speed up and reduce the pitch. Also you adjust the rate using the set points so you go from 0° at mid 50% throttle stick (doesn't need to correlate with 50% head speed BTW) to -2° at 0%. I only have 0° pitch at 50% 'throttle' in IDLE UP. For normal flight, I have -2° at 0% throttle rising to about 12° at 100% throttle stick (but IIRC I'm at about 90% head speed at 60% stick). It's more about finding what suits you rather than a hard and fast rule - that's most of the fun - fiddling with the settings! I also fly MODE 2 as he has his controller set up (but didn't mention - that's throttle on the left) but I fly nose not tail (push the stick to the left and the nose goes left) not the tail as he has it. I tend not to adjust linkages much to level the swashplate either - I zero the transmitter trims, get it close using the servo arm spline, then adjust the trims so the swash is level throughout its travel.

You'll ALWAYS be tuning them so you better get used to it. But you should pre-flight them even if factory assembled. It's a steep learning curve with many potential pitfalls so get someone who knows what they're doing to help explain the basics - or watch a LOT of KZbin - preferably both.
