I upgraded from a Ninja 650 to a Z900 after 2 weeks and about 350 miles as a beginner. Was considering the zx6r. I think many get in their head that smaller bikes are safe when you can get injured just as easily if you don't have discipline or maturity to handle the bike.

About two months in on my Ninja 300 and already wanting a 600/700! I think at a point its safer to get a bigger bike than to dog a smaller displacement bike and RUIN it's value

@jester42069 yeah man if you go down on any bike at 100 plus it don't matter. Might as well get a big bike

@Kilo_kyle Update, I did! I actually lopsided the ninja on cobblestone, then sold it. Bought a 2004 Honda CBR 600RR in great condition and I am loving it! Feels much safer at high speeds since I'm not pushing it's limits!

Ive had my 390 Duke for almost 3 years now and i still love it. As long as i stay on the street its plenty for me but ive always wondered what the 600’s would be like, i def dont need a liter bike

I went from a CBR500 to the cbr1000rr it was the best choice ive every made only put less 300 miles on the 500. 4 cylinder sounds way better for me and don't sound like it is popping and about to die. Had the 500 in February and then got the 1000 in April and going strong RIdesmart track days coming.

Just got a gsxr as a newbie. Only experience is on atvs, snowmobiles and sea doos. Have a road bike, it’s just a heavy bicycle if you’re smart about giving it gas and know how to operate a clutch. If you’re gonna start on a 600, at least have some knowledge of how they work so you can focus on the road, the speed, and drivers instead of your gear/clutch and panicking when you aren’t prepared.

I started out on an '03 R6 last October and put about 800 miles on it. Got a lot of guys calling me a crackhead cause I didn't know how to ride a bicycle until a week before my MSF, and still jumped straight into a 600. Should I have started on something smaller? Yeah, probably, but I knew I would actually respect the machine and take it slow. That and screw it, I got one of my dream bikes 👌

Totally agree with u except the law doesn’t. Hence I chose a 373cc keeper that won’t be made redundant by future more powerful bikes. Picked up a light, easy commuter (Vitpilen 401) which will still be useful regardless of whatever else I pick up.

long way to go before jumping on a liter bike they are no joke, dope '24 zx6r though!

Would you say a r7 is a good complete beginner bike
@ffukk8 ай бұрын
yes, comfortable positioning when riding, not aggressive like a 600cc but not too small like a 400cc

ninja 400 is an amazing bike but if you’re highway specific i see why you would want a bigger bike

Yup i ran my 400 on highways, decided to get a cbr1000rr and deff much better. Still have my 400 for city riding...feels dam light 😂😂😂

I watched a lot of videos on people saying not to get a 600cc as a first bike and some saying its fine, I've road dirt bikes and stuff before so I understood how to ride, and after the motorcycle course I knew I was going to get a 600cc, so i bought A 2023 zx6r best decision, reason being as I'm pretty used to fast things so if i got a 400, i know i would have done what u did and got a new bike within the month. But also i believe if you have no experience on a motorcycle whatsoever and didn't take a course, i wouldn't suggest a 600, but if u do have riding experience get that 600 you'll be fine

why don’t you rev your bike up. you are supposed to get it wide open often
