I took my MSF course and passed this past month. I’m thinking about getting this bike as a first bike but I keep hearing mixed things about it for beginners. Not sure if it helps but I’m 6ft and 230lbs.

First off, Congratulations on passing the MSF course! Tbh, I can’t stop you from getting what you want but this bike is really powerful for beginners. There are safety features on this bike that can possibly help but the power might be overwhelming at first. I recommend the MT07 which I’m sure you’ve seen can be “beginner friendly”. Less power but still packs a punch on the street. I have a review on it in my later videos if you wanted to check it out. Great bike!

100% MT-09 has a lot of safety features such as traction control, abs, and a slipper clutch. Switch to B mode which uses less power when pulling the throttle. It’s upright and low seat height. On A mode which utilizes so much power in the flick of a wrist. The torque on this bike is crazy. You might be used to the torque cause of the 2 stroke engines.

I see. Those two stroke engines can really rip and they’re super loud. Riding on the road is a whole different ball game. Have you taken the msf course?
