The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

At this moment, it is crucial for individuals to prioritize investing in alternative streams of income that are not reliant on the government, particularly with the existing worldwide economic crisis. Investing in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies can still be profitable during this period. Therefore, it is advisable to explore these investment options to secure one's financial future.

I wouldn't say early 40's is 'too late' for anything related to investing. If you have at least 20 years left to put money into the market then I think growth is a nice way to lean. I think value/dividends is good to have at any age in any market. I run a mix. The best part is I still enjoy my life while I do this. Travel, and only buy things I love. Sometimes it's wise to consult with a pro F.A for the best investment style considering your situation and circumstances. Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
@Janetmartinez-i2j4 ай бұрын

Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Would it be smart to buy shares in multiple dividend etf or pick one and buy several individual shares in other stocks like Coca Cola/visa for dividends?
@CalltoLeap7 ай бұрын
It depends on your risk tolerance. Some people like ETFs because they get to diversify.

So, for example... Altria pays a high dividend yield. $4 per year, each share roughly $45. To get $40,000 in dividends I need to buy 10,000 shares so $450,000 😮. That's one of the highest dividend yields out there. Most broad market ETFs are only less than 2% so I'd need to own $2M VOO shares in order to get $40,000 dividend annually.. is that right?
@chambers93 ай бұрын
Altria is not the highest paying dividend asset out there are assets with over 8-10% annual dividends

Wanting to get into investing! Not sure if i should rollover my 403B over time into a roth IRA or keep things separate and fund Roth IRA with my income. Not sure of any tax implications if i choose the first option....
@CalltoLeap5 ай бұрын
It's up to you if you want to roll it over. Just make sure that you know the tax implications and consult your tax advisor!
@chambers93 ай бұрын
There are tax implications though but as a portfolio manager I'd say yes rollover, keep things separate and start contributing to a low cost etf with 1% monthly dividends

How do you know if you have a taxable brokerage account?
@alrocky6 күн бұрын
Taxable brokerage account as opposed to IRA brokerage account. If account doesn't say IRA anywhere it's taxable account. Generally you want to start with a traditional IRA or Roth IRA (preferred) before starting taxable brokerage account.

@chambers93 ай бұрын
@@sharon268 why the 25% reduction? That's sad , company's match is the only best thing about a 401k but then again a 401k and Roth are one and the same. It's best you rollover and start investing in a moderate aggressive fund with 1% monthly dividends compounding
