One thing you should do is save for rainy days, personally i like to keep a small "in case the market crashes" fund to try and take advantage of the low prices. When the market goes south, I use that money spread out over the following months buying my targeted stocks on low days. on top of my usual DCA, They keep dropping and I keep buying. The Fed is no doubt at fault when they were too slow in controlling inflation in the beginning and now they are trying to do extreme catchup. The pandemic, the supply chain issues, and the Ukraine war all contribute to this perfect storm of brewing inflation. Don't forget the big spike in housing prices, that's another reason the Fed is having a hard time-fighting inflation. I have bought so many stocks in individual companies, right now I find it safe to invest in an ETF that tracks the S&P500 and ride it out. Yep great question and that’s always the one - where would you rather be if you have an option. Personally I’m always invested aside from a small emergency fund. Financial-market for me seem the only way forward with my long time horizon (accrued almost $1.4m in gains since 2020 ) but if you don’t have that fortune of time it’s a tough market out there almost nowhere feels safe! . Just know the risk you're comfortable with . Mistake is expensive
