A good teacher is not just one who excels at delivering explanations but, more importantly, one who truly comprehends their students. 아무리 좋은 설명도 때가 있는 법.

Coach Han's teaching method is so rare nowadays. People be like, "do this, do that, don't do this, don't do that" without even thinking about what is in the person's mind. He made it clearly why you should do something while other people sometime doesn't even know why they teach that certain things. This is good for some beginners that are slow learner, so it is also why I can absorb his teaching method as I'm kinda slow learner myself. We just have to believe in ourselves and push ourselves to improve and to be better. Thank you guys for making all these videos.

We are exposed to a lot of information. However, our bodies are not that developed. Coach Han believes that they need to be balanced. It's never too late to take it slow.

Hello Coach Han. Can you do a video on the top reasons why people swing and miss the shuttle? I can’t figure out why I miss the shuttlecock sometimes when I swing directly at it. It almost feels like the shuttlecock is traveling through my racket. Am I swinging too early, too late, using the wrong angle, swinging too fast, or are there other reasons? Especially for smash defense, I know to lift, drive, or block. But still I miss the shuttle when it comes to me quickly. Are there strategies for increasing the likelihood of hitting a fast traveling shuttle? I don’t want to just block every smash because then the opponent will get a slow moving shuttlecock near the net and smash again. Thank you.

@@full-swing Yes, yes, I understand what you're talking about. We, beginners, do not look at the shuttlecock and do not see the point of impact, no matter how paradoxical it is. It takes time to relearn and see. When I remember this, the quality of the strike becomes better, but more often than not I don’t remember and wave the racket as best I can just to see the shuttlecock flying away. This is very difficult, these are some reflexes that need to be changed, it’s not enough to understand, you need to change the reflex...

What if you are teaching a group of students, not just one? Would that change your approach?

@@full-swing do you have any suggestions for teaching a group of beginners? I will be the captain of our club and I want to do my best, but I don't want to shove all that information down.

1. Practice from short distances. Like a hairpin. Start by handling the racket delicately, like holding a pencil. 2. Beginners need stamina rather than technique. We ask you to hit drop shots from multiple angles so that you can run a lot. (Do the strong swing later.)

@@full-swing thank you for the wisdom 🙏 1. Practice what at short distances? Hitting the shuttle back and forth? 2. So drop shot first followed by clear and then smash? Drives and nets after that?
