Just discovered your channel after COTW: The angler came out and love your video. They’ve helped me a lot. Just a video idea, could you do one showing where all the diamond fish spots that you have on your map are? I’ve got a few from seeing other people catch and myself but you seem to have many

Yep! I have most diamond hotspots for the fish on the Norway DLC map. They just changed the spawns a week before console came out when they added the new fish. So we are still finding them all!

@@brobrahfratt Norway is the map that I’m struggling with the most as for some reason all I can catch is Salmon and Asp 😂 Hadn’t realised they changed the spawns so would be good to know once they’re figured out!

That island in the desert area,near the Channel Catfish lake is incredible for walleye and sauger,that’s how I get most of my money.

thanks, do you have a resource for optimal bobber-bait length for each type of fish? I have no idea what I'm doing with that and finding information about that is surprisingly difficult.

You mean the hook depth when using a bobber, right? If so, I just use a 1ft depth most of the time. The only time you really need to go deeper is if you are fishing for nocturnal fish during the day and need to get to the bottom of the lake where they are hanging out. I have a guide video coming out for it on Tuesday!

The icons that tell you what fish are in the area, is there some kind of requirement that you need to do for it to show it? I'm on xbox and i'm not getting any icons like that on my map only, the shop, challenge board, outpost and trails are showing!

That's a great question! Only some lakes will have those icons, and you have to walk around the entire lake for that icon to appear!

BroBrah Fratt i just subscribed to your channel and my nephew gifted this game,im having problems how to make long casts,i use my kb and mouse,i need to buy a new gaming controller,but do you have a video in deph how to cast using KB AND MOUSE

So how I do it with the mouse is hold down the left mouse button, slide the mouse back as far as I can on the mouse pad, push forward and release. I have an oversized mousepad, so that helps me. However, if you go into your settings, there should be an accessibility option that allows you to cast to the max distance possible easier (I believe it's just one click). I hope that helps!

How on earth to you catch Burber,night fish.they hang out on the bottom,but don’t take any lures.recommends liver leech ,minnow,bloodworm,all float fishing.does the depth you put your line under your float matter?

I do have a hook depth guide video coming out tomorrow. You can keep it at about 1ft if you are fishing for a species that is currently active. But if you are fishing for a nocturnal fish during the day, then you'd have to put the bait as far down as it go.

Oh yeah, they literally just added 8 new species of fish right before console release, to the base map. Plus they have already announced two new reserves with brand new species!

can you do a video on the all the fishing techniques. i can only do float fishing and a mission wants me to do stop and go to catch a gold sauger. i can’t for the life of me do stop and go

the yellow bar that constantly sweeps left>right is your timing guide. reel for 1 yellow bar, then stop for 1 yellow bar, repeat.

Thats a good idea, I think you can twitch the crankbait and still get the sauger and have it count towards the mission. Sometimes its the time of day, water temps, or other conditions that are determining whether or not the fish are attracted to that technique.

On the bottom of the circle, the two numbers are the depth of your lure and the total depth of the water. Some fish (like the lake trout) like to hang out super deep. So you'll want to get your lure down to about 90-110ft. You get xp for mastery, we haven't noticed like any increased ability to catch fish with mastered lures/rods or anything.

Depends on the fish, but for those small ones around hook size 7 should be good! A size 6 might even be small enough that the diamonds bite on it. Scarecrow has a video on how to get diamonds for these beginner fish!

Yes ik it sounds confusing but it says I’ve gone to far turn back or be respawned in 5 seconds and then kicks me out of the boat or car I may have sounded weirdly but idk if I have to buy a license or smt

I found a good location for tiger muskie on the Dam in south east. There is a spot surrounded from walls in front of the Dam with graffiti tags. As well there is a collectible water flower. There I caught many Gold tiger muskies and i belive there you can catch diamonds as well.

You can always report those in the official discord. The devs are always in there looking at stuff. Gaz (one of the main team members) was even in the discord today giving updates on the multiplayer issues.

I’m having some trouble on a challenge. I have to catch a gold catfish at a certain location. The markers in the middle of the lake but disappears when I get to the boat dock. I’ve fished all over the lake including the middle with several different baits but I can’t catch a gold.

Idk how to help you but i will try: i would use a size 2 or 3 hook with cheese and just cast into the water toward where the marker was before it disappeared right when it disappeared and give it 2 minutes a cast also if there is some type vegetation cast on the edge of that. (Thats really the only advice i have because i dont catfish much)
