"Enjoy your game first, you can figure it out later" Probably the best advice you can get for Tekken, or really any game.

can you make a tutorial on how to learn arcade stick?
@Tyreinn4 жыл бұрын
As someone who also was concerned about using an arcade stick at first, theres really not a wrong way to do it, so long as you aren't fist gripping the lever and punching your buttons. Just use it, and find what's comfortable.
@Bounty22234 жыл бұрын
Just use it whenever you can, get comfortable.
@yahlibar68323 жыл бұрын
You move the stick with the ball on top in the direction you want your character to go and you press the big buttons to attack

On a controller it is much more difficult to perform a backdash etc, but you can you can input qcf quicker on a controller. 2d characters are not made for controllers for the same reason, but for Kings giant swing you can put f,b,f fast instead of f,b,db,d,df,f. I've played a lot of Tekken and only have problems with a clean backdash
@Scottyboy23174 жыл бұрын
Can u elaborate on King's gs? Are u saying that f,b,f is enough input to do it?
@ShadyBase4 жыл бұрын
@@Scottyboy2317 Yep. Just press with your inputfinger f,b,f and you're good to go (. I don't play King, but it works.
@VocalTK4 жыл бұрын
It's a lot easier on pad imo. It's just preference. That being said I am a stick player and can obviously do it fine on stick too. It's not too bad tbh.
@Merlin_tk4 жыл бұрын
@@ShadyBase That doesnt work man. Giant Swing requires a DB and D input to come out. If you do not want to input the complete command then the other option you have is to do [ f - b|db|d - f+1] and the GS will come out. You can see this in ToH's video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWSXn6GvibaBf9E
@Merlin_tk4 жыл бұрын

Thank you JDCR, I just think that it's harder to do Back-dashing on a PS4 Controller than using the arcade stick game pad.
@kamekazi11234 жыл бұрын
It is more difficult but you can do it. I know a lot of people with amazing bd on pad. But I actually discovered an amazing player in lobbies that plays with ANALOG STICK!!???!! And has movement and execution similar to arcade stick. Its insane
@5000KAITOSHION4 жыл бұрын
Nah i kinda disagree, i find it easier to KBD in pad, but it might be just cuz ive been playing on pad a bit longer
@kamekazi11234 жыл бұрын
@@5000KAITOSHION yeh probably. Stick lets you get clean inputs every time. You can fumble inputs easily on pad
@OfficialEDC4 жыл бұрын
kamekazi1123 I’ve seen players configure the right stick to be the left stick which allows them to back dash super easily. I still use d pad for that though
@axellyann50854 жыл бұрын
The only bad thing doing kbd with a pad is that your controller (d pad side) will no last longer. When your d pad die the first time, then it will happen more often as you do the repairs. I have 3 spare pads and all off them is dead and i cant play tekken. Im waiting for my new set of pieces to do another repair, just hope it come home before Kuni shows up.

Hey JDCR, can you explain how to do backdash with keyboard as if it was a mixbox? I haven't been able to buy a mixbox, and I would like to have a good backdash habit so that I repeat exactly the same on mixbox. I would really appreciate it! Big fan of yours!
@xiiopao_4 жыл бұрын
double back and keep holding that second back. While holding back, quick tap down, then quick tap forward. Small pause then repeat quick tap down, quick tap forward, not letting go of back. Repeat.
@polarnyne4 жыл бұрын
@@xiiopao_ This, but instead of double back, hold back and tap twice forward. If you press back and forward at the same time, both inputs are cancelled and it's translated as Neutral.
@xiiopao_4 жыл бұрын
@@polarnyne I would have to disagree but I don't think it's efficient to press three buttons for a double back input. Additionally, this would not generate the d/b input required to cancel the backdash delay mentioned in the video. You cannot Korean backdash without a d/b input.
@polarnyne4 жыл бұрын
@@xiiopao_ I think you misunderstood what I said. In a keyboard or mixbox, if you press b and f at the same time, both cancels into Neutral. which means that if you press and hold b and then tap twice you will backdash once. Once you do that, the process you mentioned is pretty much the same. I find this to be more easy and ergonomic than tapping twice b and hold.

Is it better to cancel backdashes with a crouch guard rather than a sidestep? Doing backdash into sidestep is easier for me but all of the pros do backdash into crouch guard
@MarooTK4 жыл бұрын
The one with crouch guard cancel is used to gain distance and/or bait a whiff from opponent, but this is harder to learn for new players. Just enjoy the game how you can first like JDCR said. You can always learn the cool stuffs later, cheers!

In all forms but physical, I am a Red Bull. I've undergone 13 augmentation surgeries from California's top plastic surgeon to transform my body into a can of Red Bull. I have replaced over 70 percent of my skin with metallic elements. My blood to taurine ratio had exceeded 13 percent. I've tattooed the nutritional facts of a 355mL can of original Red Bull in 18 point font on the small of my back. I have received certification from Red Bull GmbH that I can be sold on shelves in Australia as an officially licensed product. I plan to be indistinguishable from a can of Red Bull within the next 13 months.
