Static elements are characterised by fixed positions and distinct boundaries, punctuated by sudden, absolute shifts. Dynamic elements are characterised by a holistic nature that undergoes continuous change. These then interact with Mental/Vital to create Static/Dynamic types, so it's really about how our consciousness expresses its positions in outward actions. What does that mean? Static types hold clear-cut views on things,... until they change their mind totally. Dynamic types continually refine and transform their assessments over time and across different situations. It is an easy mistake to extrapolate from this that Static types are impulsive, whilst Dynamic types are cautious and thoughtful. However, this also has much to do with the relative strength and boldness of Se vs. Ni. At the end of the day, would we characterise an ESI or LII as impulsive? Not really. If anything one is stubborn and unmoving in their attitude, the other is the very definition of analysis paralysis. Yet, they're both Static. Similarly, the highly impatient and often irascible LIE is hardly the model of judicious thinking.

Didn't know you use mental/vital rings, you totally missed them in your pseudosocionics series

@Just_Rusted From the beginning of my journey with Socionics, I saw a grain of myself in both, I think most people will embody a mix of these 2 and it's not really so simple to find out whether you're Static/Dynamic unless you look very deep

By MBTI letters yes but not in the stereotypical sense at all because LSI is a static type and they're extremely meticulous and organized type.

Rust, you said that sociotypes talk about the IMEs in their Mental Ring, but how does it differ from Verbal/Non-verbal Dichotomy?

So what I take from this is that people only show their ego and superego and never show Id or Superid? Never heard it described that way before

In Model G, all extroverts and dynamic and all introverts are static. This is why ILE and IEE and SEE and SLE are constantly on the move. Going from one activity to the next. They have a hard time sitting still.
