I really appreciate everything you do and share, I am trying to work up the the courage to do a wood spirit, but just do not feel good enough. I am my worse enemy 🤐 had started a deer skull carving but slipped and went through the skull 🫣 so now trying a workaround with resin. But I will get there, I just need to follow your inspired sort and ethos. ♥️

Have you ever carved a wood spirit in a live tree? Like in your yard, curious is all
@CarvingFusion2 жыл бұрын
No sorry , I will not carve a live tree

Hey jodry, idk about the stain you're using, but I know the red mahogany I have of the same brand says that sanding after staining exposes you to lead?

Un GROS merci Jordy! This series has brought my woodspirits to another level. Question I run a dremel 4000 with varying speed from 5,000-35,000. At what speed (approximately) do you normally carve (I use cedar or pine wood)? and when you say to run the dremel at low speed when using Peter's mandrel to sand, what do you consider low speed?
@CarvingFusion2 жыл бұрын
Sanding Mandrel @ half the full speed, and I basicly always run full speed but less heavy hands when doing eyes and noses

Just finished my first wood spirit, freehand too! Thanks for all of your guidance, it's because of your videos I had the knowledge to do so.
