Jordy, I love how you always recover from a “mistake” and actually show us how it happened and what you do / recommend to fix the problem. It’s these uncut videos that really encourage me to push through mistakes. Thanks and I would appreciate a video or 5 on carving eyes, The struggle is real. 😂🤣😂🤣 Thanks again buddy and carve on👍

Good instructions. Too bad the nose came off, soft wood does that sometimes I know. You just have to decide if it can be fixed and how best to fix it. If it can't be fixed, maybe it can be changed into a different carving. If not, then it's another chunk of fancy firewood. Always a use for it. Hi Jordy.

Hi Jordy. Happened across your channel by accident and inspired me to buy a Dremel. Just waiting for the Kutzal flame burr to arrive and I will give it a go. You say you don't teach you just show, but if my high school woodwork teacher taught as well as you show, I would not have dropped the subject in school. Thanks for the inspiration.

Jordy, I am in Wales, UK. Sadly the Dremel I bought is underpowered and useless for this (the Stylo model.) I want to stick with a 1/8" collet as I have all the burrs. What Dremel model would you recommend please?

Hi Jordy, When the nose broke off I know too well how that feels but cottonwood is pretty forgiving and goes back in place easily. In the past I’ve used super glue and it holds real good. I go through super glue like you do sharpies 😜

That was a bummer with the nose jordy. I’ve never carved cottonwood bark but can see the struggle. I carved an Easter island head and accidentally gouged his cheek but it added character so I’ve left it. Hi Jordy, I am a very new to the world of carving. My first piece is a fairy. She's 5 inches head to toe. Her face is so small I used the smallest bits I have for my Dremel and smallest knife. My second carving is a bust of an elf. Still working on it. It stands 2 inches. My biggest issue is the eyes. Can't carve the shape of the eye, eyelids.

Thanks Jordy, I have "cheek" issues and when I turn to view the profile the "cheeks" and nose don't look quite right. I guess I just don't push the cheeks in right (or something). Can we add a tutorial on "profile"? Or something like that or add it to the next nose tutorial? Btw, I was going backwards on my nose work... I'll change it up and do it like you just showed - forehead, brow, then nose..... Cause soon, when I get this down, I'm going bigger... Can't wait 😀
