I got a hot tip for you on rolling shuvs. As you are about to scoop, shift your board so it's going diagonally opposite the way you are scooping. This creates a nice counter balance and gets them feeling really comfy.

Wow! Amazing progress. That’s not a small ledge. Keep at it. You’ll be doing solid 50-50s in no time. Then there’s those nose slides. Great start! If you can commit to putting almost all your weight on the front foot, you’ll have those too. Keep it up. 👊👍
@DadLeisureSkateboarding4 күн бұрын
@@StuffnThings42 thanks dude!! The goal is to get consistent with these higher ledges to open up more obstacles at the park and eventually street spots! Same with the nose slides, I just want to have more options available to me 😃 plus they look really fun. Scarier than I thought to commit though and easy to miss and get the accidental board slide!!

"he's giving me his 10 inch" over sharing a bit there don't you think? 😜 Nice work on the 2nd step axle stall, pop shuvs are coming along nicely as well. Noseslides can be pretty brutal, every time I try them I think I'm getting somewhere til I have an awkward slip then I'll be back to square one 🤦 that's just me though I'm scared of everything 🤣 Keep at it mate, you're making some amazing progress 👊
@DadLeisureSkateboarding4 күн бұрын
Thanks Da, yeah the slip out on nose slides is scary 😱

Mate tonnes of progress in this one. Your ollies are massive mate, more than enough pop to get you onto any ledge in that park once you get the timing down. Try coming at less of an angle that way you don’t have to swing the back truck all the way round onto it if you catch my drift. Noseslides are looking good too, definitely got them. I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time trying to be me, I definitely don’t 😂
@DadLeisureSkateboarding4 күн бұрын
@@KieranClarkSkates 😂 approaching at that angle stems from skating curbs as a kid, I find it so much easier than trying to Ollie sideways but it's definitely something I need to work on that will improve my skating loads
@KieranClarkSkates4 күн бұрын
@ I get it mate, I did the same thing when I started 50s for the same reasons. Changing the angle just really unlocked the consistency for me.

Love this video. You can really see your progress in this one as you skate loads of different parts of the skatepark. The axle on the 2 set was really good. As for locking in on different size ledges I feel your pain. I have the same issue. It doesn't really seem to matter what the height is the results seem the same. There is only 1 curb where I feel like I can lock into most times without issues like this, which is strange, as I can go to somewhere else of a similar height then struggle. On a side note "Luke is giving me his 10 inch" 😲

Nice session, already with the new cam? That ledge is quite high! While last time I said stick with the big deck, here _maybe_ it'd be good to try the 8.25 just because of less weight and overall dimensions - to just simply land it easier first, than go back to your regular board.
@DadLeisureSkateboarding4 күн бұрын
The thought crossed my mind with the smaller deck for this! I will try it next time 😎 yes this was the new camera but I had a few teething issues getting used to it. Next vid will look better 😀🛹
