Still learning front 50-50's, I put my board on the ledge, trucks locked and do a run and jump on the board to get the feel. Ride on grinds also help me get more comfortable with ollie-ing onto a ledge

@@whoisdyl5486try moving the balls of your feet back towards your heel side a little bit. That should put your weight more where it needs to be. Also try to land with your weight more on your back foot. I see people front foot heavy when they are toe-siding FS 50-50s. Lift your front truck enough to clear the Ollie but land back foot first. Once you figure that out you’re on your way to a bunch of other grinds.

dude i was looking exactly for this, i've been skating for 12 yrs and never had a decent ledge to pratice, like i can do sw lazer on flat, im good with transition skate, but ledges i suck and always got fked up throught out my life, i stopped skate in the pandemics but im back and we built two good ones at my local park and i've struggling, im learning shit that i supossed to learn a decade ago lmao, and at the same time learning switch too, i got front and back 5050 reg and switch, now im getting confortable with fs and bs nose reg and switch too, also building confidence to switch 5-0's those scare the hell out of me lmao Thanks for the tips! im going full on ledges to step up my game, i hate the feeling of being thrash at what i like to do

Like a front board when you just tap it and a front board going to fakie you know? Turn more and twist your waist and you should be good. Ledges are weird, there's so much open space it freaks me out, because I don't know where I'll land. That's why I'll take a curb any day, you can find ones just as high as most ledges (if you look hard enough) & the lock in just feels way stable. I hate how super slippery granite is, combine that with the wrong wheels, A not perfect ollie & you've got the perfect recipe for a bad day.

Practice ollieing into a fs nose stall going straight at it once you get that down go at the ledge at a good angle then gradually become more parallel with the ledge the more parallel you go the more you slide so it slowly builds the muscle memory

I've been getting better at crooks on curb sized ledges. But I'm garbage when it comes to getting a crook on like a 12" ledge. I know there really shouldn't be much difference but there's something weird going on in my head. I'm not really afraid of committing. Try going more parallel to the ledge and lean forward a little more as well as add pressure to keep u heavy on front foot for the crook. Hope that helps!
