Sawàtdee kà 🙏
It rained a lot here in Bangkok, Thailand, and I’ve been sick this week! 😷 Home remedies have helped me get through this challenging week.
Today’s podcast is about my sickness and the medicine I used.
In this episode, I realized how many words in Thai end with nasal sounds, especially since I couldn’t pronounce some words perfectly because my nose was blocked. Throughout the five listening audios, can you catch the words I often use, like ‘นะคะ náká,’ ‘วันนี้ Wan-née,’ and ‘แล้วก็ láew-gôr’? Try mimicking my tones so that your throat muscles can remember these words and tones correctly. Trust me, learning Thai is easy if you can distinguish the tone of each sound individually. I also use basic grammar, so beginners who are just starting to learn Thai can enjoy listening.
No worries if you don’t understand everything, especially if it’s your first time listening to Thai. Try to absorb the tones and sounds every day, repeat my sentences out loud, and pay attention to my movements and the things I show. The best way to master listening is to ‘Keep Listening!’ I promise to make it as simple as possible! 🤞😊
Feel free to leave a comment about today’s topic and practice writing with me! :)
Hope you’re all doing great!
