@@sms1960able At the end of the sun temple area an event takes place that causes Light and Dark shifted versions of monsters to start appearing occasionally in place of regular ones. @@sms1960able He's not an easy one, really the first real roadblock keeper duel. Might need a little grinding and get some of the monsters from the Sun Temple area itself to round out a stronger team. But unlocking shifting early is great because it means more opportunity over the rest of the run to find the monsters you want already shifted. There are items to shift monsters, but they're relatively rare and I usually saved mine for champion monsters.

@20:28 "you can see different enemies in the wild you can chose to fight them or not". I read in-game hints it says something like it's best to fight every encounter because the game will scale enemy levels and if you skip alot of fights you miss out on experience points and can get stuck underleveled.
@MonsterMatt3 жыл бұрын
That's true! You definitely don't want to go too long without leveling up, since Champion level is based on the number of areas you've *explored*. :)
@KeithElliott-zd8cx Жыл бұрын
sure, but that's most rpgs, man. i mean, you CAN skip fights. but the devs tend to balance games around, the average experience of rushing from point a to point b, fighting all the battles in the way. some consideration for side quests or games like this where there's more exploring than just a to b aside, the 'average' exp doing this, is what they weigh to balance out the whole 'what level should enemies be here' stuff. but, being able to avoid battles, still has a point - mainly, backtracking. you're not forcefully thrown into battle, you can skip them, if you want. just, don't skip battles in an area ylu've recently unlocked, or you'll get underleveled.but, that should've been kinda obvious...

Get the eagle as your starter, if you don't catch another flying monster soon you're ruining your chances to get the most loot before going into battle, Better equipment means faster fights which means better loot etc. Start the snowball early
@KeithElliott-zd8cx Жыл бұрын
or get the toad, because a decent healer takes far longer to get, than a flying monster, given typically valero, the bird, is LITERALLY the second egg you get. so, you're almost never going to do a run where, you haven't gotten a flier by the time the 'need a flier' chests show up, outside of a randomizer run, in which case, that's exactly what you signed up for... not to mention, there's more breakable walls than 'flight points' in that early part of the game, and there's far less fights with enemies with 'breaking walls' skills to get eggs from, and again, valero in the second fight typically drops an egg, though tbh not sure if it's 100% chance or not. still, fighting more birds than brutes. i think all three of the other starters have the break walls ability. but, just as a point of proof, dude's third creature was a bird for like, half this video, despite starting with the bird, as well. he got it in the second fight. as do the vast majority of players. hell, i think you have to physically skip the fight, in order to not get valero as your second egg.

Sometimes teams that are strong against most things you've been fighting run into a team composition that just really doesn't work for them. If I remember right, the Sun Palace fight has a Mad Eye, Grummy and G'rulu, which is a MEAN front line (and it only gets meaner at high levels, trust me, there's a fight like that later...) You may need to tweak your line-up to beat this particular fight and then go back to your usual team. Magic is a godsend against the Mad Eye, fire works well on the Grummy, and I THINK everything else on his team is weak to wind magic, if memory serves. Good luck! :)

Your Monsters will completely heal between fights without you having to do anything, actually! And if you're running out of Mana during fights, I strongly recommend using Equipment to increase your Monster's Mana Regen stat. Having enough Mana to use their strongest attacks consistently is often more important than raising their damage. :) Another route you can take is the Channel buff and similar effects. Channel reduces how much Mana your abilities consume, which lets your Mana Regen count for even more.

monster position also matters because of the combo system. You should have the first 2 attackers use moves that hit multiple times at once to raise the combo and then have your 3rd monster be the main damage dealer to use up the combo to do more damage.

My main issue with the game was finding out where to go and not enough fast travel points. too easy to get lost, not knowing where to go or how to progress to another location. I would go to a part of the map only to find out its behind a trap door with no explanation of how to get to it. This kept happening and it seemed like it was completely unnecessary. Then needing to go to another part of the map where it had an opening and to go back through the area again only to find that its behind a trap door and im not able to progress. I think next part i was going to was Horizon Beach but never actually found the way to get to it. Literally started to hate the game over this.

@@denisochiuto7535 Yeah, I can understand that the way I speak would be hard for people who aren't native English speakers. You've got a really positive attitude about it, though, which is awesome. :)

@@danieladambedford828 Naw, it's all good. I was really self-conscious about my stutter as a kid and as a younger man, and even though it's a pain sometimes it's just part of who I am. :)
