Your a little bit past the beginner , good job for the jibe, for your weight you should at least consider at a 1900cm2 for confort 16knots and less and a 1500cm2 for speed when wind are blowing 18knots and more. With a 1900cm2 you will have more speed conservation,momentum to pass your jibes at least to work on them.

Definitely have been thinking I need a bigger wing because aside from my weight the board is also super heavy. My benchmark for beginner is not being able to stay up wind. Due to the wind direction switch, I still don’t know if I was able to.

@@justthewingtips switch stance require more wind to go upwind, that what after switch stance ride you will learn foot switch. Yes when you start onshore are better for ocean riding, until you are good at riding upwind. Check my vid it's can help.

Error : Side shore is the best for ocean riding after that cross on and cross off.
