Great video brother, I myself have made many of these mistakes as a new Bambu user. Downloading a model for my son I didn't notice it wasn't for the P1S until after I started the print. Thankfully i caught it before it could cause any problems.

Bambu Lab recommends using soap and water to clean the PEI build plate for routine maintenance. Alcohol, such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA), can also be used to clean the plate, but it is typically suggested for removing stubborn residues like adhesive or grease. Overusing alcohol might degrade certain finishes over time, so it’s usually best as a secondary cleaning method. For general cleaning: 1. Remove the build plate from the printer. 2. Use warm, soapy water with a sponge or cloth to gently clean the surface. 3. Rinse thoroughly and ensure the plate is completely dry before reinstalling. If soap and water don’t remove all residue, a small amount of IPA on a lint-free cloth can help restore the surface.

Hey Ed, thanks for taking the time to comment. I will go and inspect my plate, one printer at 700 hours so far. I noticed the PLA F is definitely much more stubborn to remove form the plate so I will heat it back up to remove the brims around the supports. Thanks again, very important detail for newbies to get great bed adhesion. :)

For storing your filament it really depends on where you live. If you live in a some what dry place you don't need to take the time to store the filament in bags. Iv been keeping mine on a shelf for years and don't really have any issues with wet filament. Now i do keep my TPU, ASA, PETG and ABS in a tote with tones of desiccant as even in a low humidity are they will just drink it up. Its also best to dry those filaments before using them. for PLA even silk i dont really tend to have any issues with them. being left out int the open. No for my really old stuff that has been sitting around for a while i will dry it before hand just to be sure. So if you want to take the extra steps feel free if it gives you that piece of mind but for new comers don't stress out to much about it unless you live in an extremally humid place. AS for the card board rolls. yeah their a pain in the original AMS. I have more issues with the older proto pasta rolls. as they don't fit and they are so light. The Inland and other rolls that are made of the thicker pressed card board work alot better but yeah they7 still jam the rings do help a lot but they are not fool proof. As for your first issue i didn't even know that was possible the version of Bambu studio im using screams at me that the profile and printer don't match. i never tried to force it but i thought the send button was grayed out.

Hey Writer, thank you for taking the time to comment. I should have mentioned the climate part of it because I know what you are saying is true. It can be very humid here at different times of the year and especially in my basement where my printers are. Mostly I haven't had much humidity issues because I use up filament regularly, but that one roll of silk sat out for months. These days due to jobs I've been burning through the filament quickly LOL Open the packet install and print repeat. Thanks again for taking the time :)

I have a1 mini, a1 and P1s. For me it’s not possible to print with the wrong profile in bambu studio. Gets a warning and can’t start print. Strange that your didn’t warn you.
@mayhemsmileyАй бұрын
Sorry for the delay, it doesn't warn you when you export to an SD card, which what I did when I first got the printer. Doesn't warn you when you insert the SD card into the printer either. Just Boom and off comes the print head cover. Thank you for watching and commenting. :)

I wasnt clear on why you shouldn't use printed rims on cardboard spools. Do they pop off or something?
@mayhemsmileyАй бұрын
Hey Rob, they don't pop off, but they do jam unexpectedly, so I don't want to risk my prints. I'll take the time to transfer even though it's a bit of a nuisance. LikeSilk brand filament supply their filament on a very similar reel to Bambu and it works and is refillable. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Those rims on the cardboard reels cause more problems for me then they remedy, maybe it's just with the ones i was using
@mayhemsmileyАй бұрын
I don't know if it's only the ones you're using. Mine worked sometimes and twice they didn't and that was enough. I'm using the Bambu reels and the brand likesilk reels work well too
@NoMercyFtwАй бұрын
@mayhemsmiley yeah I just put the cardboard spools in there plain and they work fine I have no problems with them

How odd - one would assume the wrong printer would be an easy and obvious validation check on the printer side. I say odd, when what I mean is downright phlucken ridiculous. Did you report this as a bug to Bambu?
@mayhemsmileyАй бұрын
Sorry for the delay responding. I was using Bambu Studio without the wifi connected, so i was slicing the model and then exporting to the SD card. Plug the Sd card into the printer and it executes gcode to print, it does not analyze which printer you sliced with. No I didn't report, but I will now that you mention it :)
