I use Vision Miner nano adhesive on my Bambu X1C smooth PEI plate. Works great, lasts for 3-4 prints before I have to re-apply. I'm interested to see if this has the same performance.

Would really like to see tests of other filament types when you do videos like this. I know most out there are printing in PLA but I do a lot of functional printing in PETG, TPU and ABS. Obviously ABS wouldn't apply to these plates but showing the good and bad of many types of filament would really be a benefit. For instance, I've found that Bambu's PETG Basic and even HF stick too well to the gold PEI plates at times and leave a film on the underside. Would be nice to see if these new plates have the same issues.

I have been following you for a while now, and finally pulled the trigger and bought the PS1 combo Black Friday deal. Being new what manufacture filament would for buy for basic PLA. I want to stay with the same brand at first till I know how it will react for ease of use. Considerations is color variety and general availability, and price. Thanks for all the hard work you do.

I'm not the video creator, but Bambu PLA is great if you can get a bunch at once they're on sale right now for refills. I have also had no issue with eSun, and only slight issue with Sunlu(needed to dry it out first)

Stick with the Bambu Lab brand since it has RFID and makes it easy when you are new. Buy a few rolls with the spools and then buy refills. Its not the cheapest out there but I have been happy with it and like the RFID.

My Frostbite plate isnt textured like it is suppose to be. I have also seen acouple people online talk about the quality control that some plates are making it out untextured even though they are the frostbite.

I'm not sure if Bambu Lab printers support it, but some printers can cool the print bed slowly using the M190 command. Maybe that would help with the warping.

Slowly for how long?
@lance1242Күн бұрын
@@michaels3003 from what I can find online about pla crystallization as a non-expert I would try cooling at a rate of 1-2 °C/min.

So if it warps when left to cool on the bench, should you remove from plate after printing or leave on page on printer to cool?
@RobertONeillPhotos2 күн бұрын
when in the printer it holds the plate down to help it harden flat. I assume even flat it would have the internal stresses so if the part was warmed a little it might warp. But that is harder to define in what situation it would be a concern. Back to your question it is better to leave it in the printer to minimize warp during cooling.

Can you apply the 3D effect covers to the original gold pei plate or do you need a smooth plate? Thanks
