IMPORTANT - Carpet Plant Seeds that are sold online and in shops are not Aquatic plants and are for no particular species, So don't be fooled into buying them as they will perish once you fill the water in the Aquarium

I've used "Vallisneria Nana" as a carpet. I trim it regularly so looks like a lawn and as it has runners, it has covered almost all of the vacant surface of the soil bed.

Chetan, All plants grow with sunlight in Nature, so in principal you need a light that duplicate the sunlight, normal lights don't work, there are videos on fertilisers, do check them out. Thanks

And that's a very important point about planting densely. People plants very sparsely and end up giving up on the carpet after a few weeks. The Light depends on the plants, A normal Aquarium light sold for Planted aquarium should work for Low tech Plants Sunlight is bot good for an aquarium, you will have algae issues

Hello Bhargav, the thing with DIY CO2 is that it is not very effective and requires more maintenance than the aquarium. For instance, you will need to change the DIY CO2 system after every 3-4 days as the pressure generated by most of the DIY setups is not enough. It is better to avoid CO2 for a while and save money for a pressurized CO2 cylinder.

@@mayuchip93 There are many people in our country who can't afford high tech equipment. Due to which they leave aquarium hobby. Spending 5-6K for CO2 is not a good idea so they always go for DIY projects.

Hello!!! Mayur sir, I really appreciate your efforts to educating the begginers. Respect and love for you. I have a question, that is if we are using air pump in our tank , it sucks air from outside & transfer it into the water..so does it will add atmospheric co2 in water. Is that logic is correct to some extent???

Actually no that amount of co2 is negligible and that's why we use co2 seperately underwater and which is to be pressurised

Good day sir, If I use Ada powder type soil and after 3 month I use same used soil for new layout of purvula hair grass layout then do you think used soil strength is weaker as compared to the fresh soil.or is that grass will be growing happily in used soil just like growth in fresh soil.

The soil strength is fine, add what right fertiliser and CO2 for the grass to grow

Sir ...I always had a small tank and had a problem of gravel and fish dying...now I m planning for 4feet tank with artificial plants and canister filter with all other filter media ...I want to keep all types of fish in tank such as parrot, mono angel ,tiger barb , shark , Oscar and some small fishes ...I m worried about the gravel, will it get cleaned by canister filter or I have to clean manually every week and some more advice if u can give me so that fish doesn't die ...please advice...also I m planning for premium food 3 in 1 for these fishes ...

Please make a note of these points 1 . Too many fish and in this combination they will fight and die 2. If you use gravel you have to manually clean every week 3. Food is fine
