Beginners Google Sheets Tutorial - Lesson 1

LESSON 1 is AMAZING!!! Thank You!! It addresses all the instructions I have been trying to find, but I guess a lot of Instructors think is to Basic? But there ARE still people that don't know the Basics. How to resize columns and rows. How to use the Grids, how to merge, how to print! (it can be so frustrating) I know!, I know! Everyone already knows this. I DIDN'T! And thats exactly what I needed. Now I can start creating my first spread sheet! Love!!

Secondly I'd like to ask if there's a consolidated resource for shortcuts like the one you showed at 5:58 with sheets.new ? How do you learn this kinda thing other than hearing it from a friend? Is it possible to have an unnumbered row or rows at the top of a database? If I am inputting one row per students signed up for my course, the header row is always row 1 and that means when I look at the numbers to the left of column, A and scroll down to the last student I entered, that number is one greater than the number of students I have enrolled and I have to remember to subtract 1 from the total to get my total enrollment number. I am hoping there is a way for the number 1 to the left of column A to match the first student I enter.

Thank you, I learned so much. Just a couple of issues. My google sheet shows the pound sign on the ribbon although I bought the computer in Australia and live in Australia. Yes I can change the sign on the sheet but not on the ribbon. Also when I right click on a row or column nothing happens. I have to go and click on Insert. Dear Sir, I need your help in google sheet, how to insert blank row formula/automatically between data in google sheet. For Example : I have my working data on google sheet with 7 columns a thousand rows and in my 4th column has a city's name and I want to insert a blank row after the city's name change in my google sheet. Excel has that option to select the whole sheet and insert a blank row but I am a new user of google sheet and it's difficult for me for my work. I hope you help me for this matter

You should be able to do this with an IF statement.
